Interesting read, I've written my Master thesis on the portrayal of women in Asian films, and the truth is that they have always been tied to their society's rules and conduct, reason being although they are show cased to be strong, female knight errants, supernatural beings or villains- most of the times all their stories end up in tragedy because Confucius law stated that no matter what they did in life they would always have to follow the orders from their fathers, husbands or male children! In view of this, women are always seen as the weaker sex or femme fatale in Asian films and most of the time they are seen as a threat to males.

I've started the first two episodes but it's currently on hold.. don't know if I should continue it or not..is it worth it? :)

I think so far it is the best drama which the Hong Sisters have written! :)
