Title Mr. Hiiragi's Homeroom Spoiler
lol I feel like a weirdo for finding the happy ending surprising. I was pretty much expecting him to die by suicide until I started ep 10, and the fact that he lives is a pleasant surprise for me. I've never thought this kind of drama would be able to have a happy ending. It's really a fresh breeze after all these edgy and dark dramas that I watched before. Hiiragi damn well deserve a happy ending and so does this drama. 10/10 would watch with my friend again

yeah agree, they could have keep the tension for much longer and made the revelation much more "wow damn"but then…
Hiiragi's "victims" are not randomly chosen. He seems to specifically chosen the one that was easier to be convinced into his side/need to be convinced into his side or they'll be a threat to his plan. Ren received his passionate monologue and seems to be moved before he was "killed". Nishizaki and Runa, as shown in ep 8, already has deep regret about not revealing that the doping video is fake leading to Reina's death. Yuki (the Mind Voice addict girl) can't keep her mouth shut and will leak potentially dangerous information should she not be convinced to his side if something happens to Hiiragi (like him collapsing from his disease). And finally Seo, arguably the most stubborn student in the class, not to mention he was clinging hard to Takechi's recommendation. It's all calculated.

Review Mr. Hiiragi's Homeroom Spoiler
sorry but Ryota was easily the least impressive actor of them all. he literally had the same face the whole drama.…
His role doesn't really require much skill to act, and Ryota's pretty much play it like it's intended to be: tough, not easily scared, no overreacting or have crazy inner dramas. It's not a role that's supposed to show a wide range of expression like Suda's so that's why his expression may not be as varied as the other characters. And I like that he doesn't overreact, would be cringey af if he does.
