wowza, binge watched this one after a friend's recommendation. Wang an yu, I am officially a fan, you ball of charming handsomeness. Also the female lead reminded me of a younger version of tang wei. Not a cringy second hand embarrassment inducing c-drama. Would rate as a well done high school to college to work life romance. Loved the chemistry between the actors and the maturity of their love portrayed in such a heartwarming natural way. Can't believe the female lead is only 18!
Honestly this is my favourite web drama. 7 days of the week, seven episodes about food and work life. Loved the used of sound and cross cutting between the two worlds, work and the kitchen. Great concept!!
The middle was quite difficult to watch because of all the misunderstandings, hate and abuse but those last three episodes had be bawling. Darren's acting here was quite... questionable. There were some parts where it was really good but a lot of parts where it feel very forced or out of character for him, unnatural basically. I think visually the casting was top notch though, all the eye candy hehe. Also props to the amazing soundtrack. It reminded me of a few well known Korean OST (Kill me Heal me - Jung Jae In: Auditory Hallucination/ Gobin - Crush: Beautiful & Ailee: I will go to you like the first snow). Wish that they shrunk the storyline into 24-30 episodes and got rid of too much of the hate scenes. Overall a decent drama if you endure it to the end.
