his acting is bad and stiff af stop using being introverted as an excuse for this, damn stop the fan behavior"…
okay it’s bad to you and that’s fine. there’s no need to be rude over someone else’s opinion. and as i said it’s not just about his character being an introvert it’s also his personality and his trauma. you can say you didn’t like it and his acting wasn’t good to you and that’s fine but there’s no need to be like this because i and other people enjoyed it. no one’s making excuses. i liked it you didn’t nothing wrong with that.
Firstly, I just finished this recently and i wanted to leave a review of sorts after reading the comments. This is not my first time seeing Jun act but I will say i’m new to the FL. Although the pacing was a little bit slow in the beginning i think if fit the story very well. We get to watch them literally grow from best friend and teenagers to lovers and adults. Typically i’m not a fan of slow burns but this to me was really good.
I’ve seen a few comments about the ML (Jun) and his acting and i wanted to add that for someone who hasn’t acted in a serious role since he debuted in 2015, he did amazing. If you’re an outgoing person it’s not always easy to portray an introvert. I’ve seen people say as well that his acting was like an idol and his facial expressions weren’t great, i’d like to mention that it’s more than just his character being an introvert. there are many different personality types of introverts and i think jun portrayed ling chao perfectly. for me he was expressive of you paid attention, it wasn’t grand facials like we’re used to seeing it was a lot better than that. also to say jun has “idol” acting when he’s never had an acting role in korea is hilarious. he took time away from something he loved to peruse other dreams but you can tell that he took his role as ling chao seriously.
Aside from that overall it wasn’t the best drama it was similar to “put your head on my shoulder” in terms of characters. so it’s safe to say i enjoyed the main couple. the second couple was not my favorite. in the beginning i was rooting for them but the second fl was too immature for me. they lacked communication as a couple and she was not very understanding of what he had going on or him being busy sometimes. i’ve ranted enough so i’ll end this here.
I just finished this and i wanted to add my 2 cents. After reading some of the comments it almost kind of feels like i watched a completely different drama than most of you 😂.
Initially i was drawn in by the plot of the story because i found it interesting. it was very slow in the beginning and some things did not make sense to me but i think upon rewatching a few episodes (i watched the whole thing in 2 days) things became more clear.
i personally really like Yoon Shi Woo’s character. in the beginning he was a lil off putting but i think it mostly had to do with his fear of losing the one thing he loved at the time. Besides that he wasn’t mean to the other students or teachers he was just more on the reserved side.
on the other hand i could not stand Wang Chi Ang. From the very moment he interacts with anyone he’s rude. i get it he’s a stuck up rich kid with daddy issues but that’s no excuse really. he had a very small amount of character development and that bothered me especially with the way it ended.
the love triangle was pointless. Soon Duk never once showed romantic interest in Chi Ang, even in the beginning before she really got to know Shi Woo. Most of you all are calling Shi Woo a bad friend because he like Soon Duk knowing Chi Ang liked her but if you watch the show and really pay attention he was interested in her romantically at first and when he realized he was it was already kind of too late. Let’s also mention Chi Ang really only liked her initially because she saved him then because she wasn’t accepting his advances. it’s like i like you because you don’t like me and i think he was holding onto liking her because he wanted someone who didn’t care about him being rich to love him. Cause Sun Ah liked him for awhile and he paid her no attention.
The ending was a little all over the place especially with the time skip. Like 7 years is a big time skip especially to not fill us in on what happened to all the people that were after the Cheon Iu Ju.
