Second episode was a bit less energetic than the first one, but still pretty enjoyable.

Surprising literally no one, the coach is indeed a trashy person.

Does anyone else think the professor is shipping Aii and Saen? I mean...

I wish for more balance between the main leads. So far, it feels pretty one-sided, but not emotional enough to be considered a tragic crush.

As for Dome and Vee, I don't really mind the "cheating" aspect. There was no real cheating present in the first 2 episodes, and we've seen much worse already in BL (ehm ehm Together with me). I was pleasantly surprised by the massage scene, I expected them to play it as a joke. I don't see the language barrier that's suppossed to be there, which would make it cute in my opinion. More chemistry wouldn't hurt them.

Overall, I'm satisfied. Let's hope the main couple gets more developed in upcoming episodes.

A two or three years age gap is not considered as an age gap ๐Ÿ˜ญ
It is to me, especially in young age ๐Ÿ’œ

Me reading your comment at first: "Brave of them to assume the production did multiple takes!"2 seconds later:…
Adrian is certainly the more conventionally attractive one! I would bet a big chunk of this series' popularity will depend on how hot they can make him look thoughout the episodes. Like if the start of part 4 wasn't a pure fanservice, I have no idea what purpose it served.

[After episode 1]

It might be because I've watched it soon after Rainbow Prince, but wow! This seems pretty solid! Like the overall quality is very high?! I don't know, it was just enjoyable to watch.

I didn't really expect to like it so much. I couldn't care less about sports, and the toxic coach is a prime example why. But I didn't mind the sports theme here.

Also, the childhood friends to lover trope isn't for me. Especially when there is age gap. It just feels off.

I will try to catch up to this so I can see how it progresses each week. So far, I'm impressed!

I really like this so far! The horror/supernatural vibe is certainly making it more interesting though, since the romance itself isn't developing as I'd like it to. Basically, I think the pacing is off (which can be partially due to the cut scenes, but I've watched the second episode uncut and it isn't much better). There are lot of interesting subplots, but it's pretty chaotic. The romantic part is just weird right now, but it's not like it could have been normal with such a premise. So I'm giving it a pass and hope they will have a better footing later on.

As for Nut's acting, I didn't really mind him in Oxygen (more like, I thought it's his character's trait). So I'm fine with it now. Also, other actors seem capable to me.

It could be my favorite ongoing BL series right now.

Me reading your comment at first: "Brave of them to assume the production did multiple takes!"

2 seconds later: "Nah, they get it." ๐Ÿ’š

But to be honest, I wouldn't put all the blame on Zeyn. From all the characters, only the evil uncle seems half-decently played to me. And it's such a one-sided character, I don't think it speaks volumes about the ability of the actor. Considering it's highly improbable they've picked all the unfit actors by chance, I doubt it's only the actors' fault. It's like they barely even think about the acting quality in this series, which was funny to me at first, but after 3 episodes of nothing really catching, I'm getting tired of it.

[Episode 3 notes]

First two minutes and I'm already choking!! This series is a gem ๐Ÿ’œ

Marcus could propose me anytime, though.

Does anyone else think the bad uncle forced Marcus to flirt with prince Zeyn? His timing seemed a little too perfect.

It's so sad, I couldn't stop laughing during the scene when Angel told people about king's death ๐Ÿ˜‚ His acting's off the charts, y'all!!

The actor that plays Zeyn's uncle is probably the only believable one for me in this series. Which is bit of a pity, since imagine how dramatic the character could be if he just let loose!

Loved that Disney reference ๐ŸŽ

I expected bigger drama from Malik ๐Ÿ˜”

At least Zeyn is still gorgeous.

Mikey's friends are golden ๐Ÿงก

"He's never alone ๐Ÿ™„" Is Elena / Rose slut-shaming Malik?! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I thought Mikey was avoiding Art! So why is he leaning on him like that? ๐Ÿฅบ

"I can't wait to work you out" - No comment, just in the rare case you've missed it ๐Ÿ™‚

Me immediately after starting part 4/4 : "Ok, so whose wet dream is it?" ๐Ÿ˜
[Just kidding, we all knew it would be Zeyn's. ]

Can all of humanity born after 1980 just make a blood oath to stop wearing those ugly-ass archaic loose boxers? They're dated, (subjectively) uncomfortable, oldschool, weird and once more - super ugly. Pajama shorts are fine for sleeping. Just not looking like that.

And here I thought we'll sacrifice a song this episode.... Are they lip-syncing?!

Disappointing ending, in more ways than one.

Episode 3 just makes it clear to me that even though this show doesn't take itself seriously, it still takes itself way too seriously for what it's good at. Personally, I would either drop the 'royal' storyline completely, or upped the drama in it significantly. Let loose! The cast isn't experienced enough to pull it off as a serious plot.

This episode was still funny at times, and even heartwarming here and there. But more and more of it is approaching the skip territory for me. Let's hope next one is better. If not, I might drop it.
On SaifahZon Story Jan 28, 2022
I think this would have worked better if it was a part of the main series, as intended at first. While the story was good (except the BS they tried to pull in episode 2), it was moving too quickly and lacked depth in my opinion. For a side couple in a series, it wouldn't be as noticable, since you would have a main couple providing more development. But on its own, it seemed kinda hollow.

I also didn't enjoy the "flashback" way of telling their story, but it was a nice story overall. Pretty emotional.

Lastly, it's a small thing, but I missed the special art for them that was shown by the end of each episode in main series .
On Why R U? Jan 26, 2022
Title Why R U? Spoiler
This is the kind of show I should dislike. Thinking about it objectively, this show fails on so many levels.

Pacing? Ha! For the first half of the show barely anything happens with the main leads, and what little does is repetitive. Then it turns into mindless fanservice for few episodes. Cue in conflict out of the blue that disappears almost as quickly as it comes. Finish with a happy ending episode.

SaifahZon relationship was even more wild. Like most of the time, I wasn't even sure whether they are together or not. It felt like they were flip-flopping, but without any acknowledgement or reasoning. I know there are more episodes about the side couple (that I haven't watched yet), but coming strictly from this drama, their relationship doesn't make sense.

Other couples got barely any screentime and progress. What's worse, they felt pretty forgettable. You could erase them all and the story wouldn't change much.

Not to be overly critical, let's interrupt with some positives. The actors were fine. Very attractive. Visuals were good, too.

But the writing wasn't that great, either. Aside from already mentioned stuff, characters occasionally go out of their way to say something deep or cute, only for it to sound out of place or cringy. This might be subjective, but sometimes I just got stuck thinking about what can possibly be going on inside their heads when they say stuff like that. Maybe it was partially because of the different culture and/or subtitles.

But also, the characters don't have strong personalities, or any visible development that would make sense. It's like they turn around whenever the weak plot needs them to.

In the whole series, they mostly use just one song. Over and over. It's not even that good of a song! Still, I can't get it out of my head.

So, despite everything... I really enjoyed the show. I'm probably still sappy enough to be emotionally attacked like this. I grinned during the beach parts like crazy. Cried in the following episodes. Was filled with anticipation as Saifah and Zon practiced for the perfomance. Frustrated with Fighter until he made peace with his feelings. Even when none of the plots satisfied my mind, they still made me feel.

Depending on how big of an emotional impact the show has on you, this is either 4 or 9.

This was funny, not too unrealistic, and pretty healthy as a portrayal of relationship goes. The conflict at the end seemed a bit forced to me, but that's maybe because it felt so abrupt. I even enjoyed Aey's storyline. Good job!!

It was meh. Some parts were good, some not so much. I wouldn't say I enjoyed it, but I didn't really hate it, either. I guess it's fine to pass a time for not so serious fans of the manga/LN/anime. It could even stand on its own, though it feels a bit cheap. Bonus points since Izumi is cute. But not for much more.

They are all played by different actors. Yes, you will be fine watching TharnType without this. It's mostly just Tar's plot that connects them, and that one is explained in TharnType better than in LBC imo. You won't be missing out on anything important :)
This was plain bad in my opinion. They should stop making second seasons if they don't bring anything new to the table. TinCan was basically a retelling from first season with very little new content, and it was confusing as hell. Ae(Pete) story arc was just painful. Other pairings didn't get much of a screentime, and even with all they got, they haven't progressed far. Techno x Kengkla were just abused for product placements. That's all they ever did. Tul x Hin were underdeveloped. It was just confusing and boring and then it was over. Such a shame, since first season was one of my favorite BL stories. For people coming from season 1, it's not worth it. As a standalone, it doesn't have much to offer, either imo. As I see it, this was purely made for profit.

How is tharntype related to this ..someone plz explain
TharnType focuses on the relationship of Tharn, Tar's ex-boyfriend. There isn't that much of an overlap (and Tar is played by different actor), but it might help you understand Tar's subplot more if you watch TharnType.

I liked how soft and "subtle" it was. Didn't feel overdramatic, but there was still something going on. Especially the characters were well done.

Also, an interactive fiction app named Storypick made a story based on the novel, so that was fun.

I know they said there won't be a spin-off based on Daon's story (because reasons), but I would have loved to see more from his POV.
