This show gives "bury your gays" trope a whole new dimension.
Like they didn't even care enough to milk it for the sob stories?! It was just bam, and now you're dead! Even the semi-fruity side got shot down! Although they did get a bit more emotional than the main trio about it. Glasses guy didn't even get a boyfriend yet! And the spy had their father removed as a warning, I assume.
Unless you are a stakeholder in that odd condensed milk/sweetener company, no happy ending for you.
I kinda like Hill (despite his many flaws), since he's the only one who made me feel anything so far. Sammy was a sight for sore eye, until she started talking.... like calm down, girl! That's way too much OTT, even for you. There are few more pretty faces though, so I'll likely continue watching. But it could use some storyline that's not an overblown angst or cringe. The "female rival" from photo bank is just a piece of paper on top of not very appetizing cake.
If a person told me this BL was made in the year of our Lord 2024, I'd start quizzing them on the current president because there's no way they'd have a firm grasp on the passage of time.
Someone should genuinely infiltrate wabi sabi and steal their time machine technology, prompto. Just imagine, if you can push the BL formula back to pre-pandemic norms this effortlessly, how much could you achieve on the global scale?! Bye bye flat-earthers. Bye bye my corporate overlords. Only cute boys being basically kidnapped because someone just wants to hold their hand THAT BADLY!
So what I'm hearing is, I quit We Are at the best of time. Thanks for warding me off. As for New, his work is…
To be lenient, I didn't see much of the ABoB. But when you have dozens of BLs releasing at once, it's probably for the best to not force yourself through each one just in case it gets better.
LBC was nostalgia for me, especially the MC. I might have different opinion if I rewatched it now, but still a classic in my book and I want to keep it that way.
Ngl, I'd probably enjoy We Are much more if I could witness you hate watching it at the same time! That way it would have at least some interesting conflict to follow š¤£š¤£š¤£ These days I need more than pretty faces to make me stay put.
It's not groundbreaking, but then I didn't expect it to be with New directing it. He's directed many of GMMTV's…

As for New, his work is apparently hit or miss for me. Not really bad, but often I just give up when it gets too boring since no one has that much time in this day and age. I'd take another LBC or SIMM and be happy with it. But ABOB? Please, don't.
Iām a bit confused- are we gonna find out why Ter hates Hill? And like how they knew each other already?
How they knew each other? I'd assume highschool. Why he "hates" him? Broken heart, and since this is a BL most likely "misunderstanding" that will be strung along for at least how of the show.
I wouldn't expect anything groundbreaking from this plot line, but hopefully it will be quick to pass.
want to see something different from studio wabi sabi it's just like their old works and also earth i want to…
Agree about Earth. He's definitely being typecasted in this one also, and seeing him in the different role might have been a fresh air that would make this stand out. But I quite enjoy wabi sabi projects in general, so it can still be an okay show for me.
This one feels very much 2moons/LBC coded, which isn't necessarily bad. It's just very standard story from what I can tell finishing the first episode. Doctors are back, engineers in the rearview mirror. Likely not much new in the terms of conflict. Though I'm interested to see what's the deal with main couple, I wouldn't expect to be vowed.
That said, sometimes you just need something simple. And this one manages it so far without becoming overly boring. If they actually bring some balance with the side couples, it could be worth it. Perhaps something sweet š
Don't want to show underage kids drive a bike? Fade to black. Things get a bit embarrasing? Fade to black. The generic song playing for a tad too long? We'll save it by fading to black! Honestly, following the "fade to black" frequency is about as much effort as the story requires from its viewer.
I watched a few low budget shows so I don't expect perfect (especially when it comes to yt releases), but at some point you just have to ask if it's really worth it to make soft nothing with a product placement. And maybe it would be fun, under right circumstances, but life's too short for that. Everyone, have fun š

Just saying, there's more steam coming from them than the little wind can blow away...

Seems like Sammy channeled Cooheart's spirit this time around. She was thrice as much over the top as usual š
