I rolled my eyes on the "mother" scenes, especially when she was asking for money from Phum. But otherwise I liked the humor, the ghosts, the queerness... it was fun!!! Hopefully it stays fun till the end.
[Also big thanks to the translators! I wouldn't choose to watch it otherwise π]
After the first 4 episodes, I feel like I need a break.
It's not a bad drama, but it's also nothing special. I care little for the main pairing, which is unfortunate since they are, well, the mains. They get the most screentime. And with 70+ minute episodes, it's a lot. Too long. They're exhausting.
I do like plenty of the side characters, though! Especially Jaab grew on me. Basically other than the main couple and cartoon villains, I'm okay with everybody. So I plan to come back, eventually. It's just not high on my list right now.
As for the unpopular part, I'd much prefer for Tai to end up with Lom. Phat is like the boring Manly Mr. Perfect Rich Cool Hot Guy 90 % of BLs have, and the "fateful connection" trope is way overdone in the genre. Lom is interesting. And cute. And certainly not fit for Tian. Pairing them up would be a breath of fresh air for something that seems to be going the standard angst+miscommunication route. But at least there's no amnesia. And for once, the cursed lovers aren't played by Ohm-Fluke.
It's both. They recap the first season (ends with episode 4, part 4/5), but from then on it's new content. So…
The whole season 1 is recaped in first few episodes of second season, so you'll have no problem understanding it if you skip s1! I personally prefer season 1 over the recap, but that's subjective π
There is another recast in season 3. You don't need to watch that season to get a full story, though. The characters from s3 don't feel like the original moons and whatever screentime they have is either fluff or worthless drama. I'd actually advise you against watching season 3, unless you're interested in the new pairing.
No need to apologize! I love 2moons, but the productions are a mess. It's understandable if someone gets confused βΊοΈ
So, just to sum up:
Season 1 stands mostly on its own.
Season 2 stands on its own thanks to recaping the entirety of season 1.
Season 3 doesn't stand, at all. The new couple in it is the only thing that might be worth your time π
I feel like the editing really dragged this show down somewhat.
It wasn't horrible (maybe even better than many other BLs), but with overall higher quality of everything else, it stuck out. Otherwise it was pretty okay. Loved the main characters, plot was kinda plain, pacing off at times. The side characters nothing much, except the bar owner who is precious and I hope she's doing well. A little bit fast on the developments and twists (but also it's K-BL, so...). My least favorite part was in episode 7.
The show could have been 9+/10, but for stated reasons I settled on 8.5 π
The first half of episode 7 shouldn't have happened this way imo. Their behaviour makes no sense at first, then it's used to create contrast for second half. Maybe the language is more ambigious in original, but with subtitles it makes zero sense.
His friend: "Let's go try out all these hard liquors I've never heard of before!"
GT?!! Reals drink it with sprite! Or Sierra Mist if you are desperate π€π (Also, ain't nobody drinking GT from such a small glass in my country! Pure gin? Maybe. Or double vodka if you don't have taste. But mixed up it's always 3dcl+ glass)
Totally unrealistic. No real value for NLMG plot progression. But it's what I'd (very unoriginally) call fluffy. If you like Palm-Nueng and can turn your brain off for a few hours, it's nice π
Ex-girlfriend trying to get back together with ML2? Check check β β
"It's going to rain" she says 5 minutes afzer it started making thunder noises.
There it is! The lack of self-worth!! Another one for our BL tropes bingo! β
(He cute, though π)
Just so you know, ML2 is rich. But he's hiding it so well!
Water. That's about as much as he can afford and live on in that snobbish establishment.
So he didn't pick for ML1. Interesting... Even Kuea has better ordering skills, and I wasn't quite impressed by him either π
Oh, that kind of "shaved" cat. Poor.
I hope it sounded less weird in thai. But I doubt that.
Disappointment this show, I tell you. You wasted such a good set-up and for what? Drunken confession? How exciting!
And drunken vomitty first kiss. Terrific.

And that's about it. Sloppy. Which works for a mindless comedy, but not this.
First two episodes were pretty good, even funny sometimes. A pleasant surprise since the trailer was giving me boring and angsty slug of Remember Me.
Episode 3, though? Starts with 20 minutes recap of episode 1 and 2. Very little new content in that switched pov. The middle was much better and almost as good as previous episodes, but towards the end it shoots right for all the BL clichΓ©s one could jam in. I don't have much hope for the show from now on.

[and it got worse π]
I wouldn't watch it again, nor would have I started it knowing what I know now. But I don't hate it, entirely. It was just minor waste of time π

I was surprised we didn't get another marriage PSA when it was brought up! Not that I'm complaining.
Overall, it was fine. Not much, but Khluen waa worth it. I haven't watched SIYH so it felt like a nice ending π
When he's unresponsive. His face is doing so much I feel tired for him. Subtlety who?
Khluen, though...I'd let him sweep me off my feet ππ
Also, who cares about the straights? It's done so badly I legit pray for Baiwan to stay alone ππ
Like boy, there are millions of things you can blame me for. But weird hemoglobin? Really?
[Also, it's clearly false. My doctor saw all there is to my hemoglobin and still warns me not to make any city girl pregnant π
"Do you brush your teeth while showering?" π
But those pathetic redemption plots? No way in hell! Those two remain in my black book πΆ
