That isn't actually true take Love alarm for example that drama wasn't popular at all in Korea as it was internationally but these are hit dramas there are also dramas like Be my princess, Forecast wheather or whatever is was called which were more popular internationally and gained the actors a load of fans. You are right that success in the Korean market matters as it helps them get roles and awards and endorsements but the drama doing well internationally and not in Korea that much isn't a lose for the actors and crew

As for Kuea reaction it was indeed a little immature but what can you expect out yourself in his situation as for him being spoiled is the reason no one wants to tell him anything is ridiculous. The ML is not a jerk lol I don't see where he comes of as a jerk. I feel the only one who sees him as a jerk is the FL and I don't even think she herself believes that like the girl dated the boy in college she should know him by now.
