Another solution for a happy ending would be (based on some of the things said in the newest ep) if Uk tried to step up against the throne with his heritage. Currently he hasn't had a need to do it, but with the means of saving Naksu he could have a reason to do it. As Yul learned, Uk can save her with the ice stones power by using forbidden sorcery, but currently it is well forbidden. i think Minato realised after seeing sou and tsumugi togheter that his side of the relationship weren't as nice as he thought. Tsumugi learnt to love him, but Minato sacrificed a lot as he was desperate to make Tsumugi a happier person. never aking for anything and always wanting what she wants. as he talked about in the show, he became aware once again that the Tsumugi he originaly came to love was the one that was together with Sou, and that perhaps the reason he's felt insecure about the relationship was because minato never met that side of her. I think Minato had a lot of insecurities, but he came to see that his love for her weren't as deep as he originaly was, and therefore decided to break up. Even though tsumugi deeply loved him, he didn't manage to equally enjoy the relationship. And perhaps by seeing once again the "old" tsumugi with sou he could come to truly enjoy her company.
