I copy paste my answer below to other commenters here....Back then, around Nov 2022, there was some group of people…
yeah how dare someone speak up for his values and democratic principles in case it affects a Cdrama release date. Are you serious??? Don't blame the actor, blame the system that is oppressing free speech, ffs
The most hilarious part was that BINGCHANG couldn't believe that TTJ stopped loving her and instead loved and…
hahahah yeah and best part TTJ never loved BC, he was only mimicking Xiao Lin's actions before. I swear BC is delulu, can't wait for her to be exposed for pure evil
I'm in two minds... TTJ is so much nicer/softer than in novel and we're getting all these sweet scenes that it's…
I read the novel up till latest translated chapter and I agree with you. TTJ in drama is soooo much easier to love than in novel but Li Su Su is...not. They really threw in some strange plotlines at time, like in latest eps Li Su Su going to Sheng camp and all that stuff. They're making Li Su Su seem to forget that the entire burden of her tribe surviving lies on her shoulders, but I understand it's censorship plus they have to make lots of fluffy moments I guess.
Lee Sung Kyung is developing a lot.. I think it is all about the right character to bring the best (or the worst)…
I agree, she never came across as the most skilled actress in previous roles but here she surprised me. I hope she can expand her range and play more interesting characters, like in this drama, and continue to develop.
let us have a decent panel, pls and they better have done background check screening on contestants... I swear every season of HS Korea had a scandal if I remember correctly?
It's a "wanna-be" crime drama that ends up being a family life drama dedicated to a police woman mistreating her…
mistreating her husband for no reason?? whattt he's lying to her, gaslighting her and other women, booked the hotel room to have an affair and then lied to her face about it multiple times. dragged her to get psych eval twice. Apparently had a physical affair w writer woman according to her, but then he gaslights her and laughs in her face lol are you watching the same show? about the kid, we barely see her anyway in the drama but I don't think you can say she's being neglected although for her sake I don't think they should have stayed married for that long. With the cracks in their marriage, they should have divorced earlier as that was just hurting the daughter, who can sense what's going on. I don't think anyone is innocent but if you think she's "mistreating her husband for no reason" I would have to respectfully disagree
Was lucky enough to view this via press invite back in 2022, and it was such a good watch, gave me the feels with just the right balance of comedy and depth. Highly recommend!
Zero surprise it's doing this well at the box office and hopefully it gets further recognition once it hits the international market.
okay they really need to stop it with this nonsense.
This is probably the 6th Cdrama I've watched where brave Chinese doctors go on a medical mission to Africa (lol they never explain where, I guess Africa is one homogenous country and not an incredibly diverse continent) and then their truck gets gunned down T____T
I'm sorry but I don't think shes a villain. She had already admitted that she was bi at the start but the production…
completely agree w you. Jasmine lied to both guys, when there was no need (aside from trying to get hearts and play the game) and it seems like she's into Rose way more than Deer, so it's actually pretty heartbreaking that the guy Rose liked from the start got pulled away by someone who lied to him and just wanted to separate him from Rose. Damnnnnnnnn
Eh! I found the book very boring. If that thing were really made into a drama it would never be popular.
I get why they had to make big changes to the plotline to make it work for a drama (e.g bodyswapping) but did they have to change the FL's personality like that
TBH, I was annoyed with FL at first because I've been conditioned to only want "bad ass" FL who has to be able…
I like your answer, but maybe it's because I'm comparing the FL's personality to the original webnovel that I'm genuinely disappointed. I even got called a troll by somebody else just for saying that I think the drama is worse than the webnovel but I'm just giving my point of view.
I can understand major changes in the plotline to make it work for a drama, bc they are 2 separate pieces of work, but they made the FL in the drama just...worse. They diluted what was interesting abt the FL (Sure she made mistakes but then took accountability. She tried to plan ahead and think strategically.)
I don't think poorly of the FL bc of her high-pitched voice or even the acting quality, just the plotline was frustrating for me to watch. Constantly making dangerous mistakes, then crying and saying sorry but then continuing to stubbornly make dangerous decisions. The whole body-swap from ep 11 was just plotline mayhem.
Like you said, I guess this drama just isn't for me. I'm happy for those who enjoy the drama, I thought the cinematography & CGI was A+, but for those who enjoyed the webnovel and are expecting similar, I'd advise them to skip this one.
