Title Veil of Shadows Spoiler
Before I watched this drama I saw so many comments on tiktok under edits of VoS that it was a sad ending, or that…
I also believed it was a happy ending. I’m just sharing fan theory and why some people consider it a sad ending. It’s not my personal theory😅

There’s an interesting fan theory about JiLu.

If you’ve watched GJM’s dramas before, you probably know that almost every line of dialogue is actually a spoiler. Later on, the exact same words and scenes are repeated, but with a completely different meaning. Every conversation contains an important detail. When you rewatch his dramas, you always notice things you completely missed the first time. Basically, none of the dialogue is meaningless.

According to this theory, Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi never actually escaped the illusion. At one point, Ji Ling tells Lu Wuyi, “I’ll be waiting for you in the afterlife with a huge bouquet of flowers.” Later, when Lu Wuyi is dying , she says something very similar: “I’m coming to you. Welcome me with flowers.” Fans believe these lines weren’t random at all.

In the final scene, Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi meet on a bridge. In Chinese mythology, a bridge often symbolizes the path to the afterlife. If you’ve seen My journey to you (also written by GJM), there’s a scene where the male lead remembers his family, and his deceased relatives are standing on a bridge looking at him. It could just be a coincidence, but it’s an interesting parallel. Another thing is that we know almost nothing about Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi’s lives before they met. If they had truly escaped the illusion together, shouldn’t they have stayed together? Instead, they meet as adults, almost as if they have no shared past at all. There’s also the moment when Ji Ling tells the little child, “There are no demons in this world.” But can a real world even exist without evil?

Of course, this is just a fan theory. Don’t take it too seriously. 🤗

I hope so too. I’d love to see the entire cast together, whether it’s for tiktoks, promos, or a variety show. And it’d be even better if every arc got its own promo😅

Who is going to play agent Zero? Or there is a chance they film Jiang Mu's arc too? I loved Lu xia and Jiang Mu's…
I think we’ll get to see Zero when they start filming the final historical arc, which takes place during Song Dynasty.

The one she pushed away? That's He Luo Luo playing as her ex
If you mean the video of Jingyi with long black dress from yesterday, that’s Li Wenhan. He’s playing her ex bf. It’s from actress arc, where Lai Weiming is the ML. They filmed two different arcs on the same day.

Yesterday evening’s video, where she’s wearing white dress. We still don’t know who the actor is. He doesn’t seem to be well-known. Also, in this arc she doesn’t have ex

Ju Jingyi's hairstyles are very diverse, and you can see the photos in the gallery. Her hairstyles would not be…
No, I mean all of her looks in general, not just the drama. The drama styling is different, but I still don’t really like her stylist’s work in real life. The hairstyles rarely stand out, and her red carpet looks often feel a
bit too simple. I just feel that in the Chinese fashion
industry, it would be nice to see a stylist who’s more experimental and brings something fresh to her
image.

For me, other actresses’ stylists do a much better
job. The difference is really obvious when you
compare their looks. Sometimes Jingyi’s styling
reminds me more of Korean styling than Chinese
styling. I really hope she’ll work with a different
stylist in the future.
