CQL is what we called huge explosive, Douluo Continent is the highest views drama for tencent in 2021, Oath of Love is the one of the romance drama that got high ratings on Hunan TV and online 30k index on tencent, Xiao Zhan as Gu Yiye on Ace Troops still what many ppl talked as one of his best acting. The Youth Memories is period drama with young cast in 2023 that received very well both online (Tencent 30k index) and TVs, and already broadcasted on TV of more than 50 times. Sunshine by My Side also went to TVs with pretty decent ratings I think only The Longest Promise with weak scripts, but not his character, Shi Ying is many fans favorite up to date. I agree that Legend of Zanghai is great and XZ proving his skills once again and with better cast and better team, but to say his other works not good result is big lies. maybe they were not in big productions, yes true, but still bring good result and shaping XZ as XZ now. XZ entered the showbiz without big capital and didn't have many connections (the reason they always attacking him), and his past acting works limited to Tencent and Xinli productions, as he was the main star/ambassador and had contract with them until 2023, they locked him with their projects. But as in 2023, XZ contract ended with both Tencent and Xinli, his projects started to get wider to Tsui Hark, Zheng XiaoLong, Daylight and more , XZ studio team also get better and better with dealing with his business on every field. He has his comeback as singer with solo album last year too. People mostly know him as traffic star with big fanbase, actually he had hard time as independent artist in C-ent, but his clean principle and professional in his works also very admirable and respectable.

Reading comments, I think it is a bit unfair to compare ZHZ to NIF and JOL, well, the similarity only three are great political and ML centric drama, but NIF and JOL ML have supports from early plot already. While ZH really started from zero. And based on cast, NIF and JOL with star studded and veteran cast esp JOL, the great Chen Daoming also there. ZHZ is like the young version and fresh, but more complex, if you get what I mean 😅
