ahh you're so lucky to just start it lol. I have watched the first 7 episodes so many times.
I am up to ep 20 now. I feel like there is always at least one super cute scene between or among them each episode that just makes me want to rewind and rewatch, but I also want to keep going simultaneously. So often times, I am at war with myself, having to decide whether to rewatch or proceed haha.

Up to ep 7 so far and this is such a blast already. The heroine is just the most adorable, cleverest, strong lead. And these two crack me up while at the same time, I'm giggling at their cuteness. I am so excited to see what comes next!
On Love to Hate You Mar 24, 2023
This was such a blast; so much fun. Kim Ok Bin is fantastic and loved her chemistry with Yoo Teo. And the bromance! I'm still laughing at that scene where Kang Ho goes "why did you take me to a cafe?" of all places, and Won Joon goes "dude, I was craving eggs benedict" lmao.
On If You Wish Upon Me Mar 18, 2023
Excellent drama; faltered in the 3rd act but worth watching nonetheless. I'm a huge Ji Chang Wook fan. The dramas he's been in lately haven't been that great. But I recall why I like him so much while watching this drama. Celebrity crushes come and go but he's one of the few that I don't think I'll ever stop liking. I also found the rest of the Team Genie cast very likeable. This drama isn't centered on romance so it is relatively dialed down but when they dial it up in certain moments, it was crackling. I liked them together. Now, be prepare to cry. The drama deals with sickness and death head on. I'm not an easy crier but recalled getting teary-eyed from the first episode. It's still a good watch with life lessons worth learning.

This drama deserves a higher rating! It was warm and thoughtful and surprisingly funny. The second episode is probably one of the funniest drama episodes I have ever seen. The drama teaches you to appreciate simple things in life through different meals Mr. Takenaka enjoys. As a young professional in the corporate world, I hope I'll be able to have the kind of healthy, peaceful retirement life that Mr. Takenaka portrays in the drama as Takeshi. I wish there were more episodes! Watch this drama if you want to destress after a long day of work while you enjoy your dinner.

This drama was an absolute delight to watch. In the beginning I was rolling my eyes at the heroine character for sacrificing so much for her family. But then we get to see how this little family bonds over what life has thrown at them and it warms my heart to see them together and all I wanted was for them to be happy. And then you have a hero who could not be more different but somehow fit right in with them. They felt so real that I felt I could land in Korea and walts right into that banchan place and see them at the counter. Loved Jeon Do Yeon here, as well as Jung Kyung Ho. They made me laugh and made me swoon. The drama is not without flaws but overall, I felt it was a refreshing take on a typical romantic comedy formula, with a bit of thriller and social commentary thrown in.

I enjoyed watching this drama. It can be a little frustrating in the beginning but once our little makeshift family comes together to support each other and run the restaurant together, it's just so heartwarming. And at the heart of it all is our wonderful leading lady, Mio. Also, there should be a slight romance tag. I live for the Mio/Komatsubara scenes. I don't know how Komatsubara can be so serious with her and then teases her all in one breath. But I really like that duality. Their story definitely left me wanting more. And I like the background music with the random nature sounds and the percussions; cracked me up (and reminded me of Ashi Girl). Really wish the drama was longer!
On My Lethal Man Feb 2, 2023
I can see why this is trending. The strong acting, directing and music all really engages you and makes up for the ridiculous plot. That scene where he picks her up over his shoulder and then places her on the vanity to command her to wipe his face after she teased him is like straight out of a bad romance novel lmao, but I am totally into it. He's so hot.

I'm on ep 3 and can I just say how the heck does he make drawing blood at a hospital look that good. He is fineee.
On Weak Hero Class 1 Jan 1, 2023
What a performance by Park Ji Hoon; his unconventional character personifies the strong male lead tag. One of the things I like about the drama is how it manages to pull you in with a tense build up that then gratifies you with an explosive payoff; no fakeouts here. And in spite of these exciting fights that energize the story, there's also this eerie, meloncholic calmness to it that compells you in a different way, along with the amazing OST. Excellent drama.

Thanks for featuring this drama. I had no idea of its existence and now have pretty much binged it in a day. It's great to see you bring to attention dramas that otherwise would have gone under the radar, even though they totally deserve to be watched and praised. I always end up liking what you recommend; same goes for this one. Keep them coming!

My favorite scene would have to be when Chen Nian comes to see Liu Bei Shan in prison after her confession. There are no words, yet you feel it, you see it, how much love there is between the two. As you observe the smiles (those little smiles get me every time) and the tears as they face each other, you also feel the emotional weight of how far they've come, how heartbreaking and yet relief and hope for the future. Amazing actors and amazing film. Oh, and how could I forget: "You protect the world; I'll protect you."
On Be My Princess Nov 6, 2022
I just started watching and I am surprised by how moving this is. Excellent acting and chemistry between the leads. And it feels like the drama knows what it is doing and the direction it is taking the audience. I also like how they're seamlessly moving between the real world and the drama they're filming. I'm aware of the comments on how the drama turns out not so good down the line though so will brace for that, but so far, this is a great start.

Thank you for this fantastic article! I enjoyed LBFAD very much but the words that came up often and I'll always…
It always cracks me up whenever she goes, "you lied to me" and he goes, "I never lied to you; you're just too stupid." xD

Me too! It fits so perfectly with their epic romance. It's so moving.

I enjoyed it so much I wrote a long review after spending hours rewatching and writing down my feelings. I think that just speaks to how good the drama is that it elicited such a flood of response from me as a viewer, even a seasoned one like me who has been watching dramas for years. And yet, this drama stood out as one of the best. I don't think I need to convince you to watch the drama considering the rating and the popularity it is receiving. I'm merely here to say unlike some other popular dramas, it's true what they say and the rating truly reflects the quality of this drama. Get on that bandwagon and embrace the hype; you won't be disappointed.

You know that scene in the beginning when Dongfang Qingcang was like "you're mine, your life belongs to me, your breathing belongs to me, your heartbeat belongs to me," he looks and sounds absolutely menacing that I don't think a declaration of destruction would have sounded that threatening, and yet Orchid still thinks he's coming on to her, lmao. These two.
