absolutely do NOT listen to the negative comments! the drama is great, I finished it in like 4 days, which is insane considering how much stuff I'm doing lately!!!!
I think the negative comments just went in expecting.... idek what like 😭😭😭 it's just a regular slice of life type of melodrama. if you've seen and liked other haein dramas, this is very up that alley.
his performance is SO AMAZING! the writing is great, didn't dislike any of the 2 leads at any point and that says a LOT for a drama like this! ah and the fmc... abt to go bunge everything that actress has ever done because she's so AMAZINGGGGG and gorgeous ughhh
overall, great show. a LOTTTTT of drama in the most dramatic sense, but it works! definitely go watch
the comments.... anywhose so all the scenes from the trailers look great and I'm super excited to see sooyoung and changwook together!!!! still have no clue what to expect from this drama but tbh that's the magic of it! I love that they're repeating the scenes bc that way they're not giving away too much while also keeping us intrigued.
can't wait to see what they're gonna bring to the table!!!
no matter what happens in the next 12 episodes, this drama will stay a 10/10 for if only because of the first four episodes. It is so unconventional and they are doing so amazing with incorporating weather into the storyline (something I was very worried about because it seems like a challenging/boring concept) and then the leads.... Truly amazing.
@mikroyoes I hate to be “ that person” but pleasing think about putting on a spoiler tag on in order to not…
I didn't think that my comment had any spoilers, I thought I was speaking very generally that's why I didnt put anything, but I'll make sure to tag in the future :))
The other major problem about the drama (at least for me personally) is the way they were downgrading the side…
that's also something I noticed, only the mains have some depth and the rest I only remember as "the girl who has a crush on one of the mains" or "the girl whos strong" etc,,, like I can tell everyone has a bunch of potential but they never show depth unless its the main characters
Had no clue this was based on a webtoon when I started the drama and when I saw the comments I decided to do a little research n tbh now I'm mad at the erasure too.
SH is the gay character in the webtoon and while YJ and him never turn out to be a thing (as far as I saw) it is still a part of his identity. Meaning, they didn't take an entirely BL webtoon and 'adjust' it a little so that it would be acceptable to the gp, they just made a character who happens to be gay, which has nothing major to do w the main love interests or story, not gay? Like you can't excuse that on "ooo conservative Korea", there are other dramas that have aired and that are airing that hinted at some characters being LGBTQ... This is simply pure erasure, a choice to not to include the gay character...
And to be quite honest, it would've fit the drama so much because the whole thing is about the struggles of youth as they find their place in the world, there is simply no excuse as to why they just decided to replace that entire part of his identity... It's just downright homophobic and unacceptable in my opinion.
The drama so far though has been very interesting, It is a good watch if you just try to overlook a few things (characters sometimes don't make much sense, the main couple is kinda all over the place, it starts turning more to romance as episodes go on, there's not much depth to anyone aside from the main characters...). It's a solid watch and I am glad I started it because it has this way of making you very empathetic and tries to put some things into perspective... I would have adored to see the aspect of an LGBTQ person and their struggles too, it would've definitely made it more authentic, and I am super mad about the erasure, but I guess if you don't know that it's supposed to be there, you won't notice it? Overall, it's been interesting so far.
