Some people really need to stop getting triggered in this comment section. A lot of commenters are casual viewers, cdrama fans, first timers or even coming from kdramas. Or have no vested interest in any particular fandom. NOT everyone who disagrees with you/criticises your fav character is automatically a ML or FL stan. The constant generalising, gaslighting, and name-calling is getting exhausting. Let people express their opinions here, its how they perceived the entertainment in their minds, if you don't like their opinion, ignore it, why would mdl be ruining your viewing experience. Just block.
Edit to add: Some are also set-up accounts, classic move. They come in with a pfp of someone and say something nasty, then people assume they’re a fan of that pfp person, when they’re more likely not. It’s just to stir things up. Happens on X all the time.
It's fine if you feel like something is rushed or messy, or doesn't follow the novel well, but too many people…
I get what you mean, but I think this kind of reaction happens both ways. When the guy is the hero, people often say the female lead looks weak or always needs saving. And when she’s more independent, people say the guy is useless or the romance feels off. I even remember at the start of POJ people saying her falling in love made her seem weak. So I feel like there are always going to be arguments on both sides, it really depends on how people interpret the characters for entertainment.
the 2 episodes were ok for me, I liked the battle scenes especially and the girlhood scenes. But overall its feeling slow but also rushed, which I knew would happen since we only have 10 episodes left, not sure how it will wrap up. I do think the unhappy book readers need to forget the book for a minute and let the drama stand on its own to really enjoy it from now onwards. I hope people will stop comparing the drama to the novel.
