Nothing to be explained, I think JSM didn't want to come back for a scene. And having a replacement adult actress might be offensive to JSM, her fans and perhaps the show world itself.

There's just no spare bodies laying around and how cruel would that be to do to someone. But lately all the sage advise he's been receiving has been about 'why not save both.' So I think he'll try to save both somehow, I don't know if this means he will die in the process and Yeong/JBY live on or not.
