Well Novel sounds decent, and it seems they simple altered too many details, so it become a trashy trash :P and i belive they played, what they were asked for, so...yeah..btw. the whole time i was distracted by "dead" glare of Jeremy...i'm not sure if that was the point of stone face shifu, but sometimes he was looking just like mannequin XD so dead inside, bored and like "plz help me", that i was just laughing. Also his red , puffy eyes, because of we know what, looked just funny, not dramatic lol.

Well, sometimes amateur, have better skills than so called pro...but yeah, patchy make up sealed the deal. Overall, it looked "cheap" , and if they were doing so many close-ups, they should do better imo. And imo decent make up is not the part, where you should cut funds.

From the beginning of this year, Chinese networks goes hard, and annouces dramas after dramas, but it seems so far, half of them become true, half are or banned or they change it back to Annouced, just day before the premiere. So it's 50/50 ^^" Still, they promote title hard, so April sounds resonable.

Well it's written as sequel...but if you read info, from the link i provided, it looks like hmm...reboot? and writting the story anew. Also the drama was mention in the Man in a Veil ..so yeah, they used the idea from the prev title, and really make it as a drama...and reason is simple - money. Plus hype, for those, who like the prev title. And i assume, they will probably tie those two, via some themes etc.

It's airing also on Youku, and they mostly sub their shows. So it's possible, someone will drop it also on other platforms with Eng subs.
