Guys, I've noticed a lot of animosity towards King's character. There's absolutely no justification for his behavior,…
Let me tell u why ur on shit rn: To pity him entails us having to justify/ understand his behaviour to a certain degree in order to feel so sort of empathy towards him, which you urself say there's no justification for his behaviour. I do not think your situation is the same as King's. First of all, he's been the force for how many years now, being in 'high pressure' situations/ having to deal with cases that his superiors want wrapped up quickly is not foreign to him, he's played these games before. What seals his shit character is the fact that he's been in this situation at least once before with a similar and everything, the same situation which led to Singha's transfer and the downfall of every single meaningful relationship in his life. Being a grown ass man, you'd think he'd AT LEAST learn to listen to others and do his job thoroughly. At the end of the day, he isn't some 16-year-old highschooler, this is a mature adult who is proactively making decisions that only benefit him, knowing the effect it would have to the people around him and no amount of "daddy wants his case done fast" can excuse that
The meaning of the mask was explained in the teaser for next week’s episode. It was also pretty evident that…
The mask has nothing to do with Khun Mom or him feeling out of place. For the past 5 episodes you should've picked up on Sun's inability to express and work through his insecurities which can be attributed to him being the 'man of the relationship' or the 'top'/ the 'buff one'. The mask he picks up is a Jester. Now he picks it up after meeting Madam - it's not him feeling out of place, rather it's him trying to belong in Madam's and Sun's world which he already and has expressed (well tried to) that he is uncomfortable in. Jesters were a source of entertainment for the wealthy class. Not only that they were part of the select few that were allowed to 'exist' whether it be for a short period of time in the same space as the wealthy class. Yes, him putting on a mask can be interpreted to his dynamic with Neau and their relationship but there's also another meaning behind everything, especially in Suntiny.
