I'm still trying to figure out what Eugene thinks is going to happen that would be any different from what happened with Black. I hate the writers for not letting her be alone to figure out if she was ready to date again or even if she wanted to date someone in the same group as her ex. Gram badgered her until she settled with him. Unfortunately, these are the types of relationships that make people stay in them way past when they're supposed to because it creates some kind of obligation on the part of the one who settled.

It reminds me of that earlier scene, when White was still pretending to be Black, and Nuch mentioned that Gram was hanging around the Arts Faculty and was probably hitting on someone there. Gram panicked and looked at "Black" before saying that it wasn't true and he spent all his time with Black. If the real Black had been there, he probably would have put two and two together. Unfortunately, it was White who had no idea what was going on.
I'll just say it. Black deserves more than a "friend" who will go behind his back to date his ex and a girl who will date his so-called friend after they broke up. Everything about Gram paints the picture that he was just hovering around Black waiting for his chance to date Eugene.

WKS didn't just wake up though. First, he says something like "A Xu, you're misleading the disciples again..." Also, Old CL tells his son (or disciple) that once the immortals start fighting, who knows how long it will take, implying that this ain't the first rodeo for WKS and ZZS.
The amount of love you must have for a person to look at each other the way ZZS and WKS looked at each other at the end, even after decades is so awe-inspiring that it's almost palpable.
Will they ever get tired of being together? Does it even matter? If they ever do, all they'll have to do is go down the mountain, eat regular food, grow old and die together.
This is the best Chinese BL ending I've ever come across. I just wish it had lasted longer.
