I'm already glad the writers didn't kill the governor's daughter. Hopefully this will be the case for this girl too. We have seen boys die, let the girls live.
during the Khan conversation between his nephew, he referred to Ashile Sun as "Central Plainer" who is he? who…
I don't think his origin is particularly special. The Khan values strong men. If little A'Sun was brave and determined, Khan could tell himself that he would make a good soldier out of him.
I'm really happy to see that it's not just Changge who will have to grow up when they separate. A'Sun will also have to face the consequences of his actions (in the person of the Governor's daughter). I find it interesting to finally get him to meet people from Tang and understand a little more the perspective of FL.
Okay, so the only purpose of life for Hao Du is just constantly hunting Changge? X"DDDDDDDDDDDD
Hao Du who chases Changge to finally spare her because she has work to do for the country is as much a joke as Changge and Ashile Sun who bump into each other EVERY city they go. It's so funny :D I can already imagine the future conversatio between Hao De and Changge. Changge: Sorry, our country is in danger, I must protect it. Kill me later. Hao De: Again? Okay, bye!
Watched till ep 30 in raw...hope to watch it with sub. It's very heartening to see ChangGe self-reflecting very…
OMG I was thinking the same about Yuan! This little girl is ADORABLE! I am so happy that we continue to see her. I want Changge and Ashile Sun to adopt her at the end.
The last few episodes are clearly not to show Changge in her best light. But you also have to understand that,…
Exactly! As far as I know, everyone understands that Leyan is inexperienced. But when it comes to Changge, as she has more aptitude and is more self-confident, one cannot understand that the situation is similar. Ashile Sun is a young man of at least 18/20, who has been fighting battles for many years and leads an entire division. Changge is a young princess of about fifteen, with no experience of the world and of war, political intrigue and so on. It is normal for her to make mistakes, especially given her suicidal and impulsive side. Of course, she will have to correct some flaws, but if she was perfect all along it would be a smooth story.
Rant about episode 24At first I liked the fact that Changge followed her own goal instead of following ML just…
I see a lot of people annoyed by Changge's attitude. And I was also a bit annoyed, but I have to make myself her lawyer.
Changge is in unfamiliar and enemy territory. She does not know this country, does not know the customs, does not have much support outside of A'Sun (but he is the general of this country and is loyal to it). Unlike Shouzhou where she had support, allies, the means to defend herself and develop strategies, there she has nothing. The greatest strategist in the world, if he finds himself in uncharted territory, without power, miles from home, will not be able to achieve much either.
I also recall that there are barely 8 episodes, she was trying to commit suicide rather than living as a slave of the Ashile tribe. Changge has no instinct for survival. She is only driven by her convictions (protecting her people at all costs) and her revenge (even if for the moment she seems to have put that aside). Of course she's too impulsive and doesn't think about the consequences. She believed that she could manage on her own with Sher's mother, thinking that they were the only ones who cared about the people of Tang.
It will serve as a lesson to her and she will evolve further. But you also have to put yourself in her shoes. She never asked Ashile Sun to save her, she did everything to avoid involving him but it is he who chooses to save her, to challenge Sher several times (including in front of the Khan) for her. Of course, that's honorable and I feel sick to my heart for him. But she never asked him to and shouldn't be criticized because a man in love risks everything, including his men, for her.
However, I really do hope, like you, that the trope "ML's continuing to protect her" will finally stop. It's time to let her emancipate herself and become strong, mature and intelligent enough to survive on her own, or even save the ML.
Okay , Changge is pissing me off these last two episodes. We're halfway through the series. Shouldn't she stop…
The last few episodes are clearly not to show Changge in her best light. But you also have to understand that, unlike A'Sun, she lacks military and political experience. She does not know the intrigues of court and women scheming. Faced with this woman sold by her country, mistreated by her various husbands, how can one not be moved? How not to believe that this woman, from the same country as Changge, does not want the same thing as her? Ashile Sun remains of another country in the eyes of Changge and a man. Despite all the respect, consideration and feelings she begins to feel for him, they do not have the same goals and the same people at heart. Obviously, she overestimated herself and rushed headlong into a wobbly plan. But let's not forget that from the start she has said that life is worse than death for her. She is someone who is not "afraid" of dying. Therefore, she acts without thinking about her safety (and neglecting the big picture because still too impulsive and inexperienced). Unlike Ashile Sun who acts because he cares too much about Changge's life and has a lot of political and military experience. But I think these episodes are going to be the kick in the ass for Changge to mature and realize that her actions have consequences for others and that she needs to be more thoughtful.
Can someone explain to me what's the matter with a woman pouring wine to a man? I have seen several historical dramas where the characters seem shocked when the female character is forced to do so.
Only the eagles know she is female and of course the Tangs. She otherwise still dressed up as man
Do the Eagles really know this or just Mu Jin, Mimi and Sun? I'm not sure Sun had fun revealing to everyone that his military advisor was a girl, knowing that spies are everywhere...
We will never know. The show doesn't show us much regarding Li Shimin's train of thought. His character development…
Li Shimin finds it easier to chat with someone who shares the same knowledge and interests as him than with his sweet, delicate, innocent and inexperienced daughter. At that time, women were restricted to the home and considered "delicate things" by many. It becomes difficult to find common things to discuss, which creates a distance between father and daughter despite their love for each other.
Anyone can enlighten me why does Li Shimin thought Changge martial arts and military stratiges but he didn't do…
Changge had the determination and the desire to train in martial arts. You don't force a child to do something they don't like especially if it doesn't correspond to what is expected of them. Leyan was gentle and delicate in nature. If she didn't want learning martial arts her father wasn't going to force her to, knowing that her role later would be to get married and be a good wife and mother. Changge has always been free, the eldest child of the heir to the throne (and probably the eldest of the royal grandchildren). Her mother and father did not restrict her, therefore, loving "man" things, she was brought up much like a Prince.
You sure tomorrow it's 8 episodes? Where? Is it on viki?
Are you sure? On the calendar it is indicated that episode 25 will be broadcast next Monday. Is it coming out tomorrow for Tencent's VVIP actually? If so, how do someone become a VVIP please?
Does anyone have any idea why Tencent is releasing this drama so slowly? After the 6 episodes, you have to wait…
We have 6 episodes per week (with a 5 day wait between each episodes pack), which equates to 4 hours of drama per week, which is huge. From March 31 to May 12 (so in less than a month and a half) we will have the entire drama. I sometimes wait months between episodes 9 and 10 of my American series and it takes 8 months for a season to be complete. So I'm not complaining too much, although I'm looking forward to the continuation of this drama!
10 first episodes seen. The story in the past is entertaining although there are some things that are not very believable: the FL behaves like a teenager while she is a young adult in the present, also she seems ready to sacrifice her career, her friends and her life in modern times to become... what? The housewife of a polygamous prince whom she barely knows. It is not very belivable. Not to mention the loss of memory and the fact that she confuses the 4th prince with the 13th. She is a modern woman and yet, just because her hazy memories make her believe that she came for the 4th prince, she tells herself that she must follow that and not her heart which falls for the 13th prince. Hard to believe. But if we ignore that, the story is interesting for now.
