Well, as adults they'd be 10 years apart. No big deal for a 25 year old and a 35 year old to date.
First of all. There’s a misconception that fujoshi equals to homophobic women who objectify gay people. But it’s not true. In Japan, fujoshi is a pejorative term created by 2ch to women who are fans of m/m conetnt.
If you’re into anime, I’m sure you often heard fanboys complaining “Ugh, fujoshi are always ruining fandom with yaoi!” The issue these fanboys had with fujoshi was never fetishization of gay/bi men, but more the fact that these women were “ruining” their favourite shows by “making the characters gay.”
That’s why they created the term fujoshi (rotten girl) to insult women who enjoy BL content when in fact it has an entire different meaning that is being used as an insult for no actual reason.
The only thing that it equals to is -- a female fan of various creative works that feature romantic relationships between men.
So it's not an insult.
Second of all, if this show makes you uncomfortable by all means do feel free to drop it but I would advise you to keep the criticism towards the series instead of judging the one's who enjoy it regardless of the content, the audience is not up for your opinion, the series is.
It is very time consuming to curb creative freedom especially towards the audience because we as VIEWERS see things differently.
