Mark seems to be guarded, he can go on with a façade and pretend everything is fine, while Vee is seemingly strong but the second he sees mark, he spirals. I think it's important for him to learn how to outwardly show his emotions instead of turning them inwards to protect himself.
Y'all remember that vegas shot pol in ep 14 like he was literally chasing him with that gun and then I realized its because he saw pete kiss his neck in ep 5 while pete was spying on him lmaoo💀
I wanna hear vegas say " what's my sweet and savory sugar baby cuddle bug 3-course appetizer entree desert hot cheeks baby cake little muffing cutie kitten bundle of curves doing here? " when he sees pete 💀
--Vegas and Pete are a lot more closed off to the world than any other couple and I doubt this will change. It doesn't take much for them to reach a point where nothing matters but their own pain because both of them are on the brink of death. Pete pressed a knife against his neck and Vegas holds a gun to his chin. They lack so much self-esteem and I feel that in order to be able to start a relationship, there has to be some initiative.
By grabbing that knife, awakening Vegas, Pete proves to himself his life matters and his faith is in vegas's hands and with that he gave up control which shows that it's not a shame to let the mask go.
On the other hand you can see Vegas doesn't want to die however he lost everything so it felt like the world is ending but it quickly started again when Pete says "what are you doing". They take each other back to reality.
They push each other to the edges in extreme situations. They outlive them filled with adrenaline and pride. Giving up one's dignity to save someone else is more than a promise.
They are going all lengths to be acknowledged and seen and appreciated but only for each other because they won't show this side of them to anyone else, they stay in their own little world, exchanging intimacy when the world isn't watching. Nobody else sees Pete getting on his knees, submitting to Vegas. It's a dynamic nobody else understands, no one has the right to witness them. Their love is sacred, it is precious and it shouldn't be seen by too many eyes. It's for them only, they are selfish with it. --
