i went into this drama not knowing what to expect but my oh my Park Ji Hoon blew me away with his acting! that scene when he smashes the window made me CRY..
was about to watch this but omgggg whyyyy the sad ending! i can't deal with another 2521 heartbreak. it's gonna leave me thinking for days! and yoojung is so pretty. Not another disappearing ML but this time he really disappeared from earth. gahhhh
I found another drama quite similar to big mouth to watch!! For those who have not seen Doctor Prisoner, do give it a try. I'm on ep 8 so far and i just loveeee the prison politics and it kinda reminded me of the first half of big mouth! (Bonus of NamGoong Min great acting! who is happily married now lol)
wth i'm on ep 2 and did the director's son and ML just had a conversation in the operating theatre ?!? imagine the germs flying around unmasked and with the couple walking into the room like that unsanitized.
Strong overall script, rushed ending & the worst possible ML acting ever.- Brilliant story and equally awesome…
when he was in prison his acting is very good but after he got out of prison he turned into this emotionless robot (i commented this earlier but some people said that's because he is big mouse and needed people to respect him or of course he would be different after those traumatic experiences in prison) which i don't disagree but he is even emotionless to his own wife lol.
In prison, every time his wife appears or was gonna get killed, he looked like he does love her and went crazy protecting her vs out of prison, when his wife was gonna die in hospital he was giving the "ok hurry up end this then we can move on to the next scene" type of vibes. Some people commented different people grieve differently which i don't disagree and could explain why he acted like that (?) strange choice of acting style imho.
idk what happened behind the scenes, could be directing, script, actor, who knows.
Lee Jong Suk don't even promote this drama on his socials when he usually does with his other dramas. idk what happened but after his character got out of prison he became emotionless in big contrast with how he acted in prison. i'm just saying he received the script for the post prison episodes and could have seen the messy writing so he may have just did the bare minimum to get through this role. i know his acting is so good but the writers/directors led his character from a warm person in ep 1 -bff with Miho's dad and an unlucky lawyer full of life to be this emotionless robot at the end so distant from everyone. I blame it on the script because i know how good he is in acting based on his previous dramas. (again these are speculations for fun and no one will possibly know if anything happens BTS)
Then this drama is a solid 8/10 for me. Started off with a really good plot and ending left much to be desired.
****WHY I LOVED IT***- love being in prison. loved prison playbook and one ordinary day for that setting. and…
I'm still thinking about this. Hyejin's ex husband still moped around after killing her and hung out with the 3 comedic prisoners as if nothing happened, effectively reduced to an "extra" role along with those 3 prisoners whose purpose was to torture PCH when he was in prison. No idea what are their roles after they got out of prison as they don't even contribute to the plot development.
what's next after the law trend that came after the Doctors trend (Dr romantic, hospital playlist). Pilots? that would be interesting.
