Hey I stuck with it and I'm on Episode 26 now. I am not a fan of slow burn romances or anything like that, but I think it's well worth it to keep watching because it does get better!

The "I'm back" melted my heart though. The whole time he addressed himself as "ben zuo" and then he uses "I" with XLH. It was so personable I loved it so much.

I feel like her babyish voice suited her character very well! Esther did great in changing the range of her voice to suit whichever character she was portraying whether it was Little Orchid, Goddess Xi Yun, or DFQC body swap.

I put Blue Whisper on hold to watch LLTG as that was my rebound for this drama :p Is there not a lot of romance in Blue Whisper?

I totally understand how you feel regarding the ending! I honestly felt like there was so much build up and the storyline spoiled us with so many cute scenes of XLH and DFQC that I thought it would give us a nice, long, and sweet ending. It was a little disappointing but I just keep watching all the cute scenes lol.

It's sooooooo good. Definitely give it a try. I haven't seen him act in any other dramas but wow he plays his character so well! I love the story as well.

I just finished Episode 19 where when Ling Buyi is questioning Lord Yong, we get a flashback of Gu City with dead soldiers laying everywhere and someone covering the eyes of a child who I'm assuming is Ling Buyi. This whole time I had assumed that Ling Buyi was an orphan and the emperor took him in as his son. However, either an episode or so before this it seems like his mom is still alive and his dad had remarried with someone else causing her to lose her mind. Why is he so focused on Gu City and investigating about it then? I thought he had done it so he could avenge his parents, but it seems like they are alive? Thank you to whoever clarifies this. I might have misunderstood or missed some parts so what I said may also be incorrect.

I have a question regarding Ling Buyi's past.

I'm watching this now right after LBFAD and like Levitate14 said, it's more slow paced. I still enjoy it so far though for the comedy and I'm sticking around for Part 2's romance.

I just came from Love Between Fairy and Devil too and I agree that it's very slow compared to it. I'm trying to keep on going so I can make it to Part 2 though lol.
