I'm dyingg LOL so I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I've been loving him on Chuang and saw a random clip of 2moons2 (watched it when it aired) and I was like wait....Nine looks like him, come here to check and yup, it was him omg I'm stupid Lmao.
I keep replaying that last scene from EP 16 my goodness...Joong Ki is KILLING this role (no pun intended), the last EPs coming up are going to be even crazier!
It's not like I actually care about the story but the writer seems to be promoting assualt, rape and toxic relationships…
Yeah I totally get it, these types of people that think is "ok" are just too immature to be watching in my opinion. Whether they're too young or just ignorant, who knows~ I also think about the actors but I guess they're just professional enough to do a project like this. I'm excited to see Mu Ren and Li Chen's story progress though, they're so cute<3 Only looking forward to Sundays cause of them LOL

TharnType was also problematic but that one didn't receive as much hate, or at least it died down as the show progressed. Personally I think a bunch of shows promote assault/rape/toxic relationships/drugs/violence etc...if you look at it from that POV, very few shows can be spared. I would just hope the people watching it are mature enough to know what's being done in the dramas is "acting" and by no means are they trying to say that type of behavior is ok. But again, people will choose to watch/judge as they see fit. Everyone has different preferences and different comfort levels.
I knew this drama would be controversial from the teaser alone, and my hypothesis was proven correct seeing all these comments Lol. I think the biggest reason why I remain unbothered, even with the step-bro's obsessive love, is because I've been reading a bunch of Damneis lately (discovered them last yr) and I've read a bunch of different obsessive/borderline male yandere style novels so their storyline doesn't really bother me. Even a story like "Sha po lang" with there being a romance between an adoptive father and son, I'm immune to it at this point Lmao. I can see why it upsets people but if that's the case, just don't watch it? Everyone has their preferences. I personally am enjoying the super cliche tropes as a long-time fan of BL content. Not to sound old but the BL fans of this generation are lucky to have a bunch of different genres used in BL's from Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, and now South Korea too. A couple of years back it was a struggle to find a quality BL drama that didn't result in a main character's death Lol. So this one drama with a cliche trope? I'll take it Lol. But again it all comes down to preferences, I can see why others won't agree. Just have to remember that this is just a drama targeted at a specific audience..the actors all worked hard so I hope people don't rate the drama too poorly because of a trope they're not comfortable with. Peace~
I can't believe they cut out the most important scene in the whole second season (the deleted scene in the office…
Agreed. That scene was as important as, dare I say, the bridge confession scene in S1. They had more communication in that office scene than they've had this whole season so whoever decided to cut it out of the series was an idiot.
Honestly, I was struggling to find a good Kdrama lately since I've sort of switched over to Chinese dramas. It's been months since I've watched a good Kdrama like this that has me dying of laughter and on the edge of my seat...it's so good and all the actors are perfect for their roles, I'm going to be so sad once it ends<3
This was a lot better than I thought it would be. The bromance was nice. If you like the untamed, WOH, guardian, etc. this one is worth a try if you're looking for bromance. The story was good too<3 It's on Netflix for those wanting to watch it!
Tencent already experience backlash with the Untamed before when the rumor circulated that WWX will have a romantic…
I wasn't aware they received backlash for that! But you made a great point. I hope that's the case and they just played it safe to not have 2 "BL" relationships in the drama. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out, I mean we've been waiting this long already right? LOL
So now that I've finally read up to Chapter 152 (still reading) and know what's going on, I wonder...obviously everything will be censored and Mo Ran & Wanning will just have a strong master/disciple relationship. But since ultimately this IS geared towards the Damnei's fans, by making Shi Mei female, are they going to make hers & Mo Ran's a brother/sister relationship? (sort of like WWX & Yan Li's characters in the untamed?....is what I hoped for. But now seeing the "Romance" tag makes me think otherwise. If there really is romance between Mo Ran & Shi Mei in the drama then I have a feeling I'll just cry and rewatch Word of Honor & The Untamed Lol.
