I went from crying to my tears drying up real quick and thinking "WTF??" They were doing so well and the ending made absolutely no sense.....no one wants to end a drama with a "WTF did I just watch?" feeling. The writer must've been having an off day when they wrote the ending Lmao

Same..I don't see how they can turn it into a happy ending with only one ep left but we can still hope :)

This series was filmed quite beautifully and the actors are amazing. My experience with BL's smells a sad ending from miles away though so trying not to get too invested in my feels LOL

The Husky and His White Cat Shizun was on the list until I saw that tragedy tag DX I'll. have to check out the othe. ones you mentioned though! But you're definitely right, Hua Cheng was on another level no one can very reach LOL

Now that I'm past chapter 43, I can see the romance LOL waiting for new chapters to be translated sucks though =/ i'll have to be patient lol!

I started it and it's pretty good. Only that the ML is like the opposite of Hua Cheng, he likes to torture the Main character instead Lol, the romance isn't really there but I like the MC!

Can anyone recommend any novels like this? Just finished it and I feel empty Lol I don't think there's another novel out there with someone as devoted as our San Lang but any recs are welcome! Also finished Scum Bag Villain which I also loved and I'm planning on reading The Husky and His White Cat Shizun soon before the drama airs. And of course, planning on reading Mo Dao Zu Shi soon since I've seen the drama.

Just finished the drama and thinking of reading it but it's the ending as sad for the main characters as it was in the drama? I've read Gu ge and Chang Cheng have a romance in the novel..do they come up a lot in the novel? Was really shipping them in the drama Lol

I haven't read the novel but saw a comment that said Mo ran was in love with Shi Mei in the novel? and Shi Mei was a man in the novel? so the romance in the novel was NOT between Mo ran and Wan ning? i'm confused Lmao

I thought it was pretty sad. I guess it was sort of satisfying in the end because the tragedy was somehow realistic? But still sad nonetheless. I think it's subjective, but I definitely don't have it on my "happy ending" mental list ^^; It was a pretty good drama despite that~

I've seen all of those but my first was Eternal Love (still my all-time favorite) but then I made the mistake of watching Princess Wei Young, The Flame's Daughter & Princess Agents and was introduced to bad endings reallyy quick (The Untamed's Ending made me cry the most but it wasn't a sad ending really, I was just upset the drama ended LOL) So it's nice when they have nice endings, a breath of fresh air! =)

True! I'm waiting on the subs so I haven't finished watching it..I'm really glad the ending is happy though =)
