Agreed! The costumes here and in TBOY look like they're really of good quality, the designs are amazing too, and so are the swords! But I also agree with how rushed the second half of the drama is. It really did start out pretty strong, but the five or more episodes of BLDJ and SKCF going on their useless little journey really hindered the plot. we're more than halfway through and we still have no idea how YDZ came to be involved with TWT. really such a waste for this drama to have poor plotlines (like prioritising romance above political intrigue) and poor pacing

This is such a disappointing drama so far. The pacing feels completely off ever since the ep 20 mark. The whole roundabout journey BLDJ and SKCF went on with their now young-again master added nothing to the plot and only acted as a waste of time. Then we're immediately thrust back into so much political intrigue with very little foreshadowing and buildup which makes it feel so rushed and jarring. Don't get me started on the characters, all the main male characters and their love interests are boring and annoying and I've resorted to watching the drama at x2 speed and skipping all of YDZ's scenes because they're ridiculously dull. The romances are cringey and hard to watch with almost no chemistry at all. The script here is the main issue, extremely poor writing. How did they manage to turn TBOY's lovable senior characters into insufferable, egotistical, naive characters? I'm just continuing the series for XRF, LMS and the rest of the 8 princes of beili. I literally could not care less about anyone else.
