Honestly, seeing Namgung not give into Mido's waterworks immediately when they were at the beach in episode 14 was so satisfying... Bro found a backbone in Paris! A very, very crooked and bendy one, but at least he is no longer a jellyfish!

A little off topic, but since we finally survived this drama... Has anyone read the synopsis for Jung Haein's next drama "Love Virus" (it's right up there in the recommendations)...?!

I agree with you, Namgung definitely had a little glow-up while in Paris and even grew something similar to a spine...?! Before, whenever Mido started crying, he would fold immediately like a cheap IKEA lawn-chair, but he really held out for a while in episode 14. It almost looked like growth, and it only took us 14 episodes plus 24 months in Paris to get there...

The rating was abysmal as you said. Many Koreans also LOVED the Taesung-Mido ship (without caring too much about the moral implications, they said "just take your brain out and watch it"). xD

I love how KBS initially tried to sell this as a "realistic" and "relatable" romance.
Also, I think they forgot to add the Korean Association of Couple Therapists and the National Center for Mental Health among the main sponsors of this drama. ("See? Our services are valuable, or you end up like the people in this drama, or worse, you may end up exactly like the writer of this drama!"). Korean blood pressure medication producers probably also enjoyed the rise in sales on saturdays and sundays.

I agree too. Namgung Sua is what I hoped for, and while it made sense for him to go no-contact with Mido and her family for the two years he was abroad, why did he go no contact with Sua, especially once he realised he couldn't forget her as he said...? At least it was hinted that Sua kept tabs on NG because she asked about the person he was eating gelato with, and NG rejected the sexy French pastry-chef from being on their project, so I suppose they had at least occasional 'work e-mail-conversations'. The writer could have done more with that set-up (him in France and her back in Korea), but we desperately needed the airtime in episode 13 and 14 for more manipulation (esp. Mido and her brothers towards Namgung), endless crying scenes and a lot of frolicking on the beach with a dinosaur-balloon...
