Do you want to watch a fluffy romantic all is perfect drama? This is not for you. This has emotionally damaged characters who are literally dead inside because past events and when they found each other they started to heal: The ending was just right and hopeful.
On the island she kind of liked him because he was the only nice one to her: Even on the first stop they would hang together. The ML wasn’t nice to her yet. So I don’t know what you mean about the from start she made it clear.

MDL is not a chinese site, and the people in this fan war aren't only chinese. Like I said on the previous reply, I seen comments here saying Esther fans go away. Just because is not happening in your country doesn't mean is not international, there's plenty more countries than yours.

If you are already almost done why not just finish it, but if now knowing is an Opening ending or sad ending and it will change your mood and you don't want to finish it just don't finish it.

Personally, for me it was like this I love the first episodes where we learned about her pearl diver days, when she was in the Island. When she was in the ML boat and sailed. For me when they dock got a bit boring, they stay there a few days. I like the next episodes and when they develop their romance, and it felt like a family with the rest of the sailing crew. Liked the melodrama after and for me went downhill when she turns MuZhe, Too many side plots, many characters that the leads screen time was less. If you are in for lots a romance don't just watch it for that reason. They had their moments but not many. Let's not talk about the ending.
Just read more comments and if you don’t mind spoilers read the ones that are on spoiler tabs. Because I think you should make the decision knowing what happened. I didn’t get the choice because I started this based on a tiktok video when it was like on episode 10.
Man I had hope for this but I had to lower my rating, this was a solid 8 based on the episodes I like balanced with the ones I didn’t, but too many deaths of some of my favorites. Loved some of the episodes and found some boring. Boring in that it became someone else stories, too many sub plots too many characters on the last episodes when she was Mu Zhe. The leads in a way felt like secondary characters to me.
Not the actors fault just bad writing and directing. This is my first time watching these actors and will definitely look for more of them in the future.
The ending was just right and hopeful.
