I started reading the manga after I finished the adaptation (currently caught up to the events of the live action ver), and what I have to say is that I actually like the adaptation a lot more. The games they changed are more interesting, but also they little details that makes them different just makes me like the live action more. The art style is quite strange to me, but I think Netflix made amazing casting choices. I was surprised to see that after the Beach arc there are quite a few changes, but I'll have to dive further to see them all. Overall, I love what Netflix did and I really hope we're getting another season. For me it's definitely a must watch.
Seriously "Josée" is so weird, since it's a very old-fashioned French name. I mean why this choice ?! ^^'
Well, I just realized it's getting an anime movie adaptation, so I went to check it out and apparently she got her name from Françoise Sagan's Wonderful Clouds. But I think the setting here is different, since the anime is set in college, meanwhile here the characters seem older or idk.
oh come on......lee rang ... loved him. i cried for his character as hell, and i wanted him to be happy with his…
Yeah it's great he has a loving, normal childhood. Also if I think back, he seemed to be at the end of his lifespan anyway and that's why he needed the ground cherries/lantern plant to live longer. But idk, it could have meant years that he eventually sacrificed, which doesn't make it that much better. But maybe it is for the best. (I cried so hard anyway...)
Is this actually true? "A special broadcast is scheduled for next Wednesday, and nothing will be broadcast on Thursday... As far as I know, a corona-related broadcast is scheduled that day." Found this comment on youtube under the teaser of ep 13... Imma be so sad...
Well, I was pleasantly surprised with this. The characters are more complex, than I imagined they would be. The actors are young, but they seem very talented, so I'm actually looking forward to their other works. I think it's a great watch, though short. You could literally watch it in one sitting, like in case of a longer movie. :D Overall, I recommend it!
Found this update on IrozukuSubs' website: UPDATE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are dropping this project. But rest assured, aoinousagi @ d-addicts will be picking up where we left off. Thank you!
Well, I myself do Hungarian subs for dramas and I also know different sites that take my subs and use them (some even for money making purposes), but I choose not to make a big deal out of it, since it means more people get to watch it. I don't want to make money out of this anyway, so it's no problem for me. I do however support Irozuku on patreon, since I wanted to make Hungarian subs for some of their dramas (they said it's 100% okay). Usually they don't make a big deal out of e.g. Dramacool stealing their vids with the hardsub, but in the case of this drama I think it was the softsub that was stolen. On patreon they specifically say on every post not to repost their softsubs, but in this case because of that warning for this drama in particular, I'm quite sure this was the case. So they're not that naive, it was just unlucky that some people can't respect their words.
I think it's because someone stole the subs (from Patreon) and uploaded it to somewhere else. Everyone was specifically asked not to do this, the subbers gave multiple warnings, but I guess the situtation hasn't gotten any better, so they decided to discontinue the show. I think it's justified tho.
