Production team: 'Dear viewers, because Korea is still homophobic and does not allow explicit contents, you are…
And still all the unsaid things are so so well depicted by the looks and the pacing and everything. The actors and the crew are doing an amazing job. For me its a true work of art. Similarly to The Untamed which was a huge hit. You need even more skills to depict something you can't show. The best horror movies are considered those where you can't actually see the 'scary monster'. I think we should be glad Koreans are trying. It's not like change happens over the night. Homophobia is veeeeery deep-rooted. Sadly.
Tae Joo confronts his feelings and tries to make Kang Gook to stand up for his feelings as well, Tae Joo confesses that he is feeling jealous and not as a friend but Kang Gook basically thinks that these feelings are based on affection for a caretaker (since Tae Joo keeps mentioning 'just like mom' in shower scene and in the hugging in bed scene) so Kang Gook rejects him by saying something like 'there's a difference between us in this relationship. I could live without you but you couldn't live without me.' After that Kang Gook actually confesses to the girl that he likes Tae Joo but the girl stops him and says that her mom was right all along; all of them could always feel that there is something between the guys.
Okay. So I got acquainted to the controversies myself since you couldn't even point out what you hated about him. And now my conclusion is that you're either ignorant af or a troll. In any way. Goodbye. You are not worthy of anyone's attention.
It's the first drama where I had to skip the 'get together' scene. Even the kiss was sooo cringey knowing the poor freshly rejected dude was standing not even a meter apart!!!! Why was this so random and so so weird. They were doing quite fine with the relationship so far why was the transition to becoming a couple SO WEIRD!!!
I wanted to comment that the first episode felt really rushed but know that I know more info about the ML (who I somehow didn't like instinctively) I'll just drop it. It's not even that good to begin with for me to suffer watching at that face for 23 more hours.
How are you guys enjoying this drama so far? Me personally, I find it kinda bland to be honest.. Not sure if I find Jung So Min's anger scenes are that believable.. It's kinda similar to 'humiliating the subordinate' scenes to me, when you wanna crash the screen and tell them how to do something differently, 'properly' if you will.
I guess you could try to justify the girl stressing out when he's gone because it is a dangerous situation going…
It's the unknown that drives people crazy after all :D I'd imagine that's how 'love' is. Selfish and not always rational. I'm just saying that this narrative I kinda get. There are waaaay bigger holes to be concerned with.
