i watched 4 episodes and i kinda feel lazy to watch the rest of it, it doesn't attract me and i just wanted to watch for Rowoon,
i'm not gonna say if the story is good or bad, buT God dO kOrEans love "girl is mistaken to be a boy because she wears men clothes and is so flat that noone notices" type of cliche because i've watched twenty series with the same plot and i do not like it. historical dramas already have little new things to offer, with the same politics and same love stories, but this paticular cliche mAkes me roll my eyes into mY sKuLl and snooze.
i'm sorry if i'm being negative in the comment section, i just wanted to rant a little. the rest of you may like this plot line and i understand it is ok and the story can be attractive for others and i'm not trying to hate this particular serie, i'm just saying in GeNeral i'm tired of this cliche in every tv serie

i wish lee joon gi would act in a romance or comedy or any different genre for once

why tf should he apologize to public for his personal life? i'm getting tired of seeing actors' names in articles for sth that has nothing to do with their fans, i'm not fully aware of what has happened here, its not as if he commited a crime or sth. maybe if korean fans weren't this obnoxious, their celebrities could make better choices for their lives without the fear of jeopardizing their career

That's what i said above, i seperated the two parts now.
You said she was immature and i agreed and said yes, i've noticed by some of her behaviour in earlier episodes. Then what i said was : i expect a woman of 35 y.o not to make toddler noises and show some dignity.
Again : 1) i feel like this thread got all tangled up
2) honestly, in any other country other than South korea, if anyone talked in baby tones with their S.O they'd look weird, but even in south korea i don't remember a female character above 30 talk this way unless they were portrayed as an airhead housewife. And her change of tone was too sudden in those scenes.
Anyway, reading the threads again i see that some things were answered incorrectly by everyone, the other person was also commenting about the last part of my sentence about her toddler noises and saying it was ok for her to act that way but then i think she connected the previous sentence to the last, where i DID NOT say that an educated person shouldn't talk in childish tones, and now that i read it i see that i answered her incorrectly also, this comment section is full of wrong answers😂😅 imma let it be for now and i'll just delete the main comment in a few hours

i like the serie and i've been waiting for it for months. but am i the only one who is disturbed by that blond 9 y.o kid? do people actually dye children's hair??? the bleaching and the chemicals don't burn their sculp? i'm sure it's gotta be harmful for them

omg same! i just started watching the latest episode and two minutes in i'm like, wait, what are these characters talking about? then i realize i haven't watched episode 5, and then i kept wondering if i skipped a week and i don't remember it?

tbh the first 30 minutes of the first episode was the only bad part of the whole serie and it makes me cringe whenever i rewatch it BUT, the changing eye color and neck tatoo and clothes for his girl personality are just symbolic so the audience can tell which personality is being shown. his eye color does not actually change, they just show a colored glimmer in his eyes for the first few seconds his personality changes and then it's his normal eye color again. this drama was beautiful. give it a try

this serie has a good story, it does, but it's not my favorite type of story and i watched till ep 3 and i just kinda forced myself to watch ep 2 and 3. i like Ji sung and Jin Young as well, and idk if i'm gonna be able to sit through the next episodes for them. i think this sort of storyline is better suited for a movie rather than a tv serie

i did think of the pop up mystic bar when i watched the first 2 episodes,i dropped the PUMB but this seems more interesting to me. it's good that it's only 8 episodes and is not time consuming

idk why Ik Sun lied like this, even if she wanted to spare Jun wan from more worries, she shouldn't have told him she loved someone else
idk why in Kdramas noone can actually talk about their worries and troubles with their partner and they always choose to lie as if that makes things any better

breaking up in later episodes is sth common in most kdramas and yes it made no sense. he told her once that he does not feel and think like humans and he only copies human behaviour, it's stupid to expect him to behave in human standards when his life is on the line. also tbf, i think when she was confronting him she did stay quiet for a while to listen to his explaination idk why he didn't just say he was gonna turn into an evil spirit. nevertheless, she condemning him was a very stupid plotline that didn't even suit Dam's character

yeah sorry about that. it's just too easy, remember when she removed MM and TDK's memories yet she didn't bother to remove their phone numbers and pictures from their phones or remove other family members' memories, but now she conviniently made everyone remember him with his real face and just handed him ID and driving licence and medical license and whatever else he needed

how did myul mang get a job as a doctor? he doesn't have any ID or medical certificate...eh

if you are bored and have nothing else to do, go on give it a try. the first few episodes are good. then it turns into a chaotic mess which you no longer understand the rules of. it doesn't have a big laugh moment, the plot is not something relatable, the romance was vague, one episode she doesn't care about him the next she is suddenly in love with him, it has a side character plotline that has absolutely nothing to do with the main story and characters and is a seperate story of it's own within the main plot, the main plot is stalling.

the good points being the actors, each episode is 1 hour so it's not as hard to watch as one and a half hour series, overall it's not bad to watch when you're bored and have nothing better to watch. the plot is not annoying at least, yo can skip forward the unnecessary scenes easily

until now whatever she wished he said " i can't do that", can he transfer her illness to someone else but can not keep her alive when she wishes it? it seems like he doesn't know what he can and can not do either.
the point of contract was that he wanted the world to end and die and she could die peacefully and without pain (or break it and stay alive), but now he wants to live and love and the girl wants to live and love, so the contract makes no sense.
even without her wishing for it why doesn't he just cancel the contract when he no longer gains anything from it ?
