It's lacking everything, first of all, there is a lack of logic here. "You're overthinking it" line from Solar when Pobmek was being clearly open about his trauma from his ABUSIVE (!!!) mother. I was shocked, because why writer would fail at basic character building? I thought Solar is a gentle soul who understand mental health well, i guess not.
Lazy, lazy, lazy. It's just lazy writing. And writer fails every time. Watching it irritates me because trauma isn't taken seriously AT ALL. Media plays a huge role in shaping our boundaries, and well, i'm just glad it wasn't out when i was a teenager.
There s no grooming, Kanda has no intention for grooming. They meet randomly, they shares their pain. Its Akira…
tell me in which Predator Poachers episode you appeared, i'll comment<3 i'm bi and i'm not a pedophile, crazy, huh? guess males think everything can be raped.
I don't think pobmek has really forgiven her like he said to solar they are getting to know each other again slowly…
Well, as a writer, all i see is laziness, a lack of seriousness about trauma, and nothing more. Also, the "you're overthinking it" line was disgusting. I was actually shocked because why would Solar, a character who (apparently) understands trauma and mental health so well, say something like this? It's so dismissive... Again, this is basic writing, character building.
A writer can do whatever he want with relationship of his characters, but he handled it... actually, he didn't handle it at all. It was just lazy as hell. I can't really say anything positive, even though i was waiting for this drama for a long time, hoping that writer will handle everything well since it's a VERY hard and sensitive topic already. Even OCD is stereotypically shown and I understand that it's a comedy (and it's actually very funny comedy), but OCD doesn't look like that in real life, it's more perfectionism than OCD.
I don't like upsetting authors or speaking negatively, but these are serious issues. As writers, we're responsible for what we create, and here, honestly, I get the impression the author doesn't feel responsible at all (even though, I know it's not true since i waited for this drama and read his tweets, but I still have this impression, which says a lot).
they're just predatory (though probably i should use another "p" word to describe them tbh) it's not about ignorance. they're clearly attracted to this image of a kid and an old man. "The Puritanical Little Church Girls are outraged, I tell you, outraged, over the tutor's hotness :)" is actually very telling lmfao
I've watched EP6 and i'm tired of bad parents constantly being forgiven in Thai dramas. I hope that someday, media will support (in a serious way, for once) victims of abusive parents instead of justifying those parents and rushing their redemption in a shallow, rushed, and often unrealistic way. People don't change that quickly. They may change their behavior, but with controlling and abusive parents like that, the problem runs deeper. I don't even want to hear people making excuses for the writers, when media plays such a big role in shaping our self-worth and boundaries. No one should have to beg to be loved and respected.
If you feel like your trauma isn't taken seriously in the way Thai dramas handle it, I'm sorry. And you're right, because you should never have to feel like you have to forgive, move on, or chase after an abusive parent. Prioritize yourself and your feelings, and never let anyone destroy or make you second-guess your boundaries. Blood means nothing if you’re feeling miserable and afraid.
