I feel like people are forgetting that the main leads of the book is supposed to be what they are now. Did you guys forget why lmm entered the book? She entered because she criticized the book, especially the main characters. As per lmm, the characters are stupid and the plot is flat. You're annoyed of lfy and my because they're supposed to be annoying. You find them bland, because they're supposed to be bland. They're acting in character. Lmm is trying to break their character but she's not yet successful.

No one knows if they're going to follow the novel's ending but what we know is that in this series, fu zhou, which is the author of the book is also played by DYX so most probably both of them are from the real world. The books is happy ending and the extra chapters are sweet.
If they're following the novel, it's still happy ending except musheng is not really from the real world.
