I find CLOY okay since I finished it but I don't really remember what happened to that drama. Nothing special for me personally.

That's fair, since chemistry is quite subjective. But if you didn't see their chemistry in the intro or the full trailer, I'm afraid you need to skip this one. If this is just another show I'll encourage you to look pass the main leads' chemistry, but since the story will revolve around their romance, just pick something else to watch.

I get why people rates it below 8 but still won't erase how precious this drama is for me.

Nope. Jing gave her purple amethyst. Amethysts are purple, it's my birthstone. They are following 95% of the drama I only know one line of jing that they ommitted and just added a little bit of xl scenes but so far they are really following the novel. I feel like they won't dare to remove the that scene on the maze because that's essential but we'll see.

That's the beauty of harem dramas your pick won't always be the end game and you won't really feel chemistry for every pair because that's still subjective. Been there. Happy watching!!

For me, I just read the novel after episode 20 and this is my first deng wei drama but I really liked Jing/ysq. So maybe it's a matter of preference as well. They are also following the novel religiously as well as the dialogue so if you're not feeling jing here, you won't also feel him in the novel. (tho they omitted some of his lines)

Also there's not a lot of yaojing scenes and they're not the "MAIN" storyline so you would still enjoy the whole series without shipping them.
