Title Surplus Princess Spoiler

Yes. She has to end up with Shi Kyung. HM is a nice guy but I really don't feel the chemistry when he's with Hani. Even though SK and Hani's attraction towards each other may just be superficial, they still look good together. Unfortunately, I'm kind of starting to lose hope after seeing the preview for ep9. It seems that their relationship is not developing because of the vixen. The obstacles just never end!

Title Surplus Princess Spoiler
Even though Hyun Myung is the male lead, with only two episodes left it wouldn't make sense for Hani to suddenly fall in love with him. In episode 8, she is still completely infatuated with SK and we still haven't seen any signs of her having the slightest attraction to HM. Earlier this week, I thought that series was only halfway, and so HM still has plenty of time to make her love him. This may have been the original plan of the writer, but pursuing this wouldn't be logical anymore. HM may have one advantage over SK which is knowing Hani's secret, but again with little time left this wouldn't be enough to turn her feelings around.

YFAS is my all-time favourite drama. I know that the remake won't be like the original, but I'm still looking forward to it. I just hope that they won't make it into a teen series like Vampire Diaries. And please don't cast Kristen Stewart!

overall the drama is funny but honestly I don't see myself caring for any characters. They're not engaging.
I think that the characters are interesting, but it's hard to really love them because they're not well-developed (especially Shi Kyung). We see enough of Hyun Myung to sympathize with him, but he's not charming enough to root for. There are just too many side stories that it doesn't give time to build the relationship of the leads. It focuses more on the comedic rather than it's romantic side which is why many people can't decide yet whom to ship.

Ah, who is the first male lead? They decided one or I'll have to suffer just like in Reply 1994 cheering for one…
I merely cited Nail Shop as an example, but I also didn't think it was good. What you said was true; sometimes in the desperate effort of the writer to please the viewers, the story goes awry. I'd just like to make it clear that I'm not in favor of sacrificing a good story just so my favorite character would end up with the girl. But if the writer(s) could come up with a good ending with SK and HN together, then I'd be very happy.

I'm so disappointed with how underdeveloped SK's character is. Everything they show us about him is just on a superficial level. He has a potential to be a really interesting character (not just because he is good-looking). I feel that he is a more suitable match for Hani, but I guess that the theme of this show is that your ideal guy is not always the one you'll fall in love with.

Here goes another article for fans to just complain about America ruining everything -_- all hail South Korea…
I think that the fans here are just wary because the adaptations of certain Asian movies/dramas did not live up to their expectations. When movies/shows are remade by Hollywood, many things change to suit the culture and taste of the western audience. Some good things in the original may inevitably be lost. It's nearly impossible to capture the essence of the original, and that's why the remake is often disappointing. I don't believe that they meant that American programs are bad. We all know that there are a lot of good TV series out there. I personally don't like True Blood and Vampire Diaries, but I watch many other American series. And it's rather ridiculous to say that fans think that Korean dramas are the best in the world because there are countless mediocre K-dramas, too.

I'd have to agree that Hyun Myung is the male lead since he gets much more screen time and has a more developed story. However, it doesn't mean that Shi Kyung doesn't have the chance to end up with Hani. After all, Korean dramas are known for altering the story to cater to the audience's wishes. In Nail Shop Paris, Song Jae Rim wasn't the lead either, but he got the girl in the end. Also, in the drama How to Meet The Perfect Neighbor, the second lead ended up with the girl because the viewers preferred him to the main guy. So I'm not conceding yet. Team Shi Kyung fighting!

I'm surprised that you dislike Lee Bo Young. I'm not a fan of hers and I don't particularly think she's pretty, but she did a good job in I Hear Your Voice. (IHYV is probably the best Kdrama I've ever seen. I've never experienced so many different emotions from one series. Indeed, it is really well-made. I wish you'd give it a chance.)

I agree with everything else you said, though. It seems that this awards show is just a popularity contest! Park Shin Hye's acting may have improved quite a bit since You're Beautiful, but to me she is still devoid of acting skills. Maybe she can sing, but she's not a real actress. It also infuriates me that she and Lee Min Ho got the best couple award! I've always loved LMH, but I dislike him in Heirs. I found him boring and annoying. I would have felt satisfied if any of the other couples nominated had won.

Thanks for writing this article and for sharing the hilarious video.

Title The Heirs
Does anybody here watch this for Lee Min Ho? I am realllly sad that people are watching this only for Woo Bin.…
I started watching this because of Lee Mi Ho. However, after the first few episodes, I started rooting for Woo Bin's character, which I find really bizarre because I have never liked bad guys in ANY drama. For the first time, Lee Min Ho didn't stand out in his own show! Clearly, this role isn't suited to him.

I completely agree with The Moon Embraces the Sun. I haven't watched Cyrano yet, but after seeing the pictures, I wouldn't even dare to watch it. As for Personal Taste, I felt that way in the first few episodes, but later, I felt that they totally had chemistry. I still have to say though that Lee Min Ho was too young for his role at that time, especially since he had just come out of portraying a high school student the year before.

About Gumiho, it's not really the age difference of the actor and the actress that bothers me (since she is supposed to be 700 years older than the guy anyway). What I can't accept is why she falls in love with that guy when there's a super hot vet who likes her. Hehe.

The dramas that bothered me in terms of age differences are I Love Lee Tae Ri and Ohitorisama. The characters totally look like mother and son. By the way, what did you think of the main leads in I Hear Your Voice?

I completely agree. I think that Hana Yori Dango is the best adaptation even though their F4 actors are not as handsome as the Korean ones. Actually, when I first started watching it, I couldn't accept Matsumoto as Doumijouji because I thought that he looked wimpy, but I grew to like him as his portrayal becomes more and more convincing. I also think that this version has the best female lead; her character is closest to the original. Meteor Garden, though dated, is my second favorite as it is the most faithful to the manga. I just wish that it were shorter. But of all the versions, this was the one that made me cry. My least favorite is the Korean version. I tried so hard but I just find it so difficult to like; I couldn't even finish it. Jan Di is just insufferable -- everything she does is so exaggerated -- she ruined everything for me.
