For me kdrama slumps feel different. They happen regularly and for varying amounts of time (from years to months). I think that for me it is mostly an issue of what mood I'm in. Do i need to de-stress? --> Watch slice of life anime or romance dramas, they are nice and slow and not too exciting. Does my brain need stimulation? --> I'd mostly watch shounen anime in this case, but also thriller/crime kdrama. Am I busy and need a break? --> I will almost always watch anime, because drama episodes are very long. After a long drama slump of several years, seeing some kdramas pop up on netflix helped. Most on there are good and most stimulating factor of all is that it is convenient and the video quality is great. I will still watch the odd drama on a different site but 720p just isn't the same as 1080p. I still have alternating watch periods of anime vs. kdrama, but I'm hoping that it will blend together soon.
