This movie might not be for everyone, but it's a great movie! I actually think it gives off a Jim Jarmusch kind of vibe, so if you're into something non-hollywood or dialogue-driven, you should definitely give it a try! (It's very much slice of life, rather than an overall storyline.)

This is the perfect feel-good drama and has the most realistic love story I've ever seen in a Kdrama. It's so refreshing and funny, the lead couple's chemistry is CRAZY, you can tell that they know each other well and are comfortable around each other. Wether you are a current college student, struggling with life, or just want to feel the nostalgia of being a student and young love, I recommend this drama to everyone.
PS: I've heard several people say that some events from this drama actually happened in their real lives, something not very common for Kdramas.
Unfortunately so overrated. I almost dropped this as well, but forced myself through the whole thing, while skipping the scenes of the main couple. The cinematography and music is great, the bromance really funny, I loved Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na but the main leads were both shallow, sometimes even annoying. There was no chemistry and the story, which seemed to be interesting in the beginning, didn't make much sense in the end and there were too many cliches... in the end it was a real let-down.

I personally didn't get the story between Yoo Ah In and Lee Mi Yeon (even though I love Yoo Ah In very much). There wasn't any chemistry and it never seemed like they were in love, even when their backstory was shown. I don't like stories when I can't understand where the character's feelings are coming from, so even though the movie wasn't bad, it wasn't particularly good either.
(I enjoyed the Kim Ju Hyuk x Choi Ji Woo story line the most)

Title Empress Ki
Though this drama sure has a couple of weak points and some plot developments that didn't really appeal to me, I have to say that this is probably the drama that left the biggest impression on me, out of all the dramas I have watched in my life.
I finished this in January and haven't watched it since then, but today I decided to listen to the soundtrack again (the soundtrack itself is just AMAZING) and while I was listening to the main theme I remembered all those scenes that I loved and all those feelings that I had while watching this drama and I almost started crying again because I remembered the ending. I don't usually watch sad dramas but this one was so worth it. I also think that most dramas have a very weak ending but this dramas ending is so powerful.
I can only recommend this to everyone, even people who are not into historical dramas!! (it was my first historical kdrama)

I watched the drama basically for Jin Yi Han and he is great in it, but even a great actor can not make this script, which has to be one of the worst scripts ever, work.
The first six episodes or so were actually quite good and entertaining (the OST is good too) but don't waste your time any further than that. Neither the romance, nor the characters or the "mystery" are worth it.
Even though I wanted to like it, this drama got my so far worst score. (Although at least I finished it, if only reluctantly)
