There are some people who share same opinion with you about the slow pace, in some aspects I feel the criticism about it is valid. But I also understand their decision to choose to go with slow pace, I think it's deliberate, it create the mood and the tone of the overall drama. Also even more people are liking the slow pace set. And for the dramatic part, in my opinion, YAMG is the leaaaaaaast in dramatic part, but maybe we have different opinion about 'dramatic'..
Oh right, the ML and FL are indeed mainbuzz of drama, and so is the drama itself. I can see if they cast some relatively less famous, wellknown and good looking actors, people's interest and curiousity would not be as high as it is, but after awhile, if the only main buzz is the actors, people will get bored with the drama. People have to be immersed with story, acting, the whole production and drama to make them stick watching it til the end. Moreover to make people rave and giving good reviews, they have to really like the drama, i mean overall drama not only the actors.
Well maybe if you love LeYan and HaoDu story just spazz and post about them without mentioning or comparing them to other actors/characters. It can backfires. Actually their story excites me too, how she end up falling for HD when she has (at the moment) crush and infatuation with ShuYu, still. And how I wanna see their development in character. But their story to most unbiased viewers of this drama is pale in comparison with the story of Chang Ge-Ashile Sun. So when comparing them, most people will question about it.
I think not. I mean until ep 18 the interaction between LY-HD is limited and nothing very romatic. at least in the eyes of passerby like me who just enjoy the drama as overall.

Yes I agree. I mean I have nothing against ZLS actually, but the fans... ?♀️ maybe I don't really like anything that too excessive. As general drama viewers, and non fans of any particular actors in this drama, I dont understand the over-the-top fans reactions about HaoYan CP. I care more about actors' performance and plot of drama. Yes they have chemistry, but their story is just beginning, nothing too deep or touchy yet. Be patience and calm a bit let the story evolves about them, then you can talk.

Ah, right. And ainread somewhere that this drama is air precisely after one year of the first shooting?!? For such caliber drama, and for cdrama norm, this is quite fast. I don't really like the cartoon part, just personal preference if the drawing style ?, but tbh it's not that annoying or ruin the drama, unless being nitpicky. There are still many many thing can be appreciated, the casts, the acting, the story, the message... Very beautiful drama ❤️❤️
