....this was a bit on the serious side. at first glance it appears to be soft and sweet, but at a deeper level this is about self acceptance, family dynamics and taking up spaces as gay people in a conservative environment.
A simple thing such as being contacted when your significant other is in hospital. Taken for granted but highlighted by this story. Sex scenes or sex was not critical to tell this story successfully.
I say well done to the creators in all their shapes. A beautifully crafted love story steeped in contemporary lived experiences.
Cake's dad is a DZADDY! Cake self is problematic, just the way he stares, the way he walks, the way he hugs, the way, ....anyway.
This was a well written, well acted, well directed series. There are some repetitive elements, but this can be seen frequently in other productions including kdramas. So that shouldn't discourage you from watching. Highly recommend.
a couple of JiuTian scenes from E12 subbed. (SPOILERS)https://sbanh.com/smnf6b756ggs.htmlhttps://sbanh.com/fc1cd0qave3p.htmlhttps://sbanh.com/aq599156vel0.html
...watched these with a huge smile on my face. you're a blessing in these streets. thank you so much!!!
Did they reshoot some of the scenes from UWMA? Will be interesting to see the scene comparison between the 2 shows.…
...wondering the same thing and watching the actors closely and realising they managed to keep the look from the original series. HOW did they achieve that?!?
...me telling my spirit to chae yen because Ep1 was a success! Loving how they're bringing the UWMA elements without overwhelming this story.
Crossing fingers the series keeps getting better. Our 2022 experience of BL has been traumatic to say the least with series that start well and fall apart by Ep4. Please not again we pray!

Yeah, we need a therapist. Dr Kirk Honda will do.
