Just as Kaneda was getting hopeful, Benji swoops in like a colonialist. So painful to watch!!
If we view Benji as human, his actions make sense. If you put yourself in his position where you have loved another and they were suddenly yanked from you because of distance, similarly you would use what ever resources you had to restore that. Especially if your feelings were returned. Who doesnt want that? US!!!! Those of us who wish for Kaneda to win!! Waaaaa!!!!!
I dont say this a lot but man am i glad this is over. It really held promise in the beginning but then something went awry and it never recovered. Big sad 😔

Ep5 and Kim is still trying to act coy. The minute he agreed to move in, he should have known the jig was up! Being catty with Cherry and admitting things to her should have been the proof he needed that he is gone. Being turned over every night is insufficient evidence for you to believe you're in this? Oh, we see you Sir! Get that damned card and go buy some thangs man!
Yes, simple plot, but if you think about it, this was actually an intelligent drama. Essentially, what you have is two gorgeous human beings looking for a connection at a very vulnerable time of the year. They have both ensured loss in the past, but are open because there is an undeniable pull towards one another.
This exemplified how its not entirely necessary to have 2 hour long episodes multiplied by sixteen to create something magical. Yes, time is required for character development, but its not always necessary to relate to the characters and to hope they win in the end. They did that without even exploring each other's tonsils! Can you believe it??
This had excellent cinematography, explosive chemistry, but most importantly it had real and tangible dialogue that will leave you believing in love again.
From the same creators of Gaya Se Pelikula, this is highly recommended if you're a fan of fluff!
