Can love bloom on an empty stomach?
I watched it on GagaOOLala in November 2025 and I was both amazed and sad to discover it to be soft corn. I found that to be so distracting, I struggled to see the plot. It did seem to want to explore themes of identity as a gay government employee and the struggles to balance that. But also poverty, loss and disenfranchisement.
Overall sad film to be approached with caution.
