I come back to this page to read the rather interesting reviews knowing I will never press play. I do it with other dramas as well.

I was thinking between watching this, Be Melodramatic and Search: WWW, which all got something in common. But then I saw how short the episodes were and it shot high up in priority on my watchlist as well as looking at the reviews.

Solid youth drama. Overall good with some pacing flaws, but nothing that was outstanding or atypical to me.

I don't know what it means to be a neutral viewer, but I watched it two years ago not having watched many Korean dramas or knowing about much about them and it's still my favourite drama. It's better to try than anything. I think it's great, but of course, it's not for everyone. It seems you like haven't liked a lot of other popular dramas looking at your watchlist so I can't assure you will like it or will exceed any expectations you have based on what your taste gravitate towards.

I wasn't a fan of the writing overall, but OJS was great.

They aren't. However, the ML of this drama had a better acting performance than KSH in IONTBO, which is an unpopular opinion ... The crying scenes were pretty alright, though, lol. Sang-Tae was my favourite character in the show.

The ML at least had character development, while the FL ... I felt lukewarm about, and Oh Yeon Seo's unconvincing performance didn't help either. Her choices from the beginning of the drama to the end made it harder for me to sympathize with her, and there could have been many more opportunities to develop her character outside of her trauma because that shouldn't just automatically be a reason why I should root for her. The ML also had problems, but he was more well-developed. The pictures of her being abused and it being implied that she was stalked were devastating, yet her character felt so shallow. And the three ladies were rather typical and reminiscent of most K-dramas.

I agree with most of your thoughts, although I gave it a 7.5. It was better than IOTNBO in a vast number of ways.

I can't say it was outstanding or a hidden gem in my eyes (I wrote down my thoughts and elaborated on what could've been better), but it was better than IOTNBO in character writing and development. The score of 8.5 fits, which is rare because most ratings on MDL are extremely inflated.

I liked the atmosphere and warm cinematography, but it definitely shouldn't be described as a feel-good show. At times, the dialogue felt like it was trying to be too deep, which made scenes harder to get through, not because they were slow.

I am watching IONTBO right now, and I am thoroughly impressed by his performance and how much he's outdone KSH and SYJ.

This review truly resonates with me. Every person I saw was attached to the characters, and I was confused most of the time. I wasn't convinced of the development of the leads' relationship from the beginning.

Right? I am on the fourth episode, and it isn't hard to sit through, yet I feel the need to do other things while watching it.

To be honest, this is how I felt about the writer's previous drama, Crash Landing on You. Mediocre plot and flow and not very well-written characters, but some scenes are surprisingly captivating enough for me to continue; still average, though.
