Oh okay, I misunderstood your comment :) I never thought of it that way - I read the book, which delved deeper into her struggles and how difficult her current life was, how desperate she wanted to escape from it. And so, I understood her perspective, how conflicted she was between her desire to be free from everything and her guilt/conscience for letting ML take the blame. Inevitably, this made me forget just how selfish it was of her to let ML go to jail for her, though I do see how much she regretted/felt guilty. I personally think that she thought she was doing it for both of them - so ML's efforts won't go to vain, along with her own wish to start anew, and imo, she just needed a little guidance to make the 'correct' choice b/c it was obvious she'll regret it for the rest of her life if she actually let ML take the blame. Thanks for the insight!

FL confessed after her exams, when the young police officer scared her into thinking ML was getting capital punishment. She visited ML with the young police officer, which meant she dropped her act of not knowing him and told everything to the police. Also, near the end of the film, she was sitting in the prison bus, with her head shaved and wearing prison clothes --> so both ML and her got prison time (one for the murder and the other for hiding the truth and disposing the body). At the end of the film, they both were grown up and were walking on the streets with their heads held up and confident in broad daylight since they both told the truth, served their time and are leading the lives they said they would (FL protecting the world and ML protecting her).
I have a question, in the main role there is wang pang zi wich is also a main role in the lost tomb. Are the two…
The series are not related but the original novel which they were taken from had some controversies. The original novel of The Lost Tomb, which is called The Grave Robbers Chronicles, is said to have plagiarized Candle in Tomb (though I'm not too sure about the details) so that's why there's a lot of similarities between them
Who knows any strong ML novel similar to doulou dalou?
Coiling Dragon, I Shall Seal the Heavens, Eternal Will, Battle Through the Heavens, Desolate Era, to name a few - you can check out wuxiaworld.com, a website that translates these types of 'wuxia'/'xianxia'/'xuanhuan' or strong ML novels
I wonder if anyone else noticed this, but the theme song for this show (我是誰) has the exact same piano opening…
Oh wow, the opening piano part of 我是誰 sounds really similar, but the rest of the song is completely different. I think the beat (the clapping) of Apologize is similar for 石头 but the melody is not similar at all.
