"We are fire"
I don't really write reviews, tho I love reading them (still taking reviews with a grain of salt). But I do love Fan Zhi Xin. I hope he'd get the projects and fame he so deserve!
- His acting is always, always on point and I can't believe he's so young
- Credits to the casting director, because cast delivered great
- I know episodes seemed very slow paced (and I don't really dig it), so I set it to 1.5x speed
- the KISS! some might find it slow burn, but that's what made it exquisite! too bad there's not a lot :(
(edit: there's a lot of weight and meaning when they kissed on Ep25... swoon-worthy! I won't spoil more, but...)
- the theme and it's ending were spot on for me
finally, on FZX: I love how his roles are (almost) always portraying a devoted (if not lovesick) guy with a "I will kill and die for you" vibe. I know it might be a red flag, but he's just fire. He's so sick (literally) on "Dear Liar" but I just couldn't help but see where he's coming from (this is bad, I know... but it's FZX, so I guess it's kind of ok?!?).
As for links and how to watch some of these, I normally google it like "(drama name) eng sub ep(episode number). At times, they may be available in Bilibili, but Dailymotion is a good link, too, if it's not available via Kiss.
I hope this helps: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x96h44o (episode 1)

Hard to Find, Hard to Let Go
This made me cry.Episodes might seems slow, but the story was worth it.
SPOILER ALERT tho, the ending is really heartbreaking. I get it, but it still is very heavy and sad :(
ZYQ and SYJ were so good (I love them both and the chemistry was great. But part of it was because I'm biased towards ZYQ, lol), and kudos to the casting director, as well as the whole prod.
I hope it did not have the ending it did, but that's what made it more poignant and meaningful.

Engaging and made my mind spin a bit
Warning: A bit of a spoiler ahead.Drama and story was very good. Not perfect and some things in the plot could be improved but I'm honestly impressed. There was not a second I had it in fast-forward mode and not boring. I thought it was one of those "magic"/"transmigrated" tropes, but then... Bam! This is a bit sick. I get, though. People process things differently and unless you've seen it first hand, it might take you a while to accept coping mechanisms for different people.
They set themselves up in the bubble they created, just to get by. It's sad. Especially for Hao Xun. And the title was very apt -- he was the biggest fool indeed. The things he would do for love. How I wish there was some redemption in the end for him -- maybe some saving grace to get himself out of that cage he put himself in just to be beside her. It's not romantic, if you really think about it. It's rather tragic. They delude themselves to no end. But that's how it is in real life for some people. Especially when the grief is too strong. And there's no saving one's self, unless you want it and put the effort to remove yourself from that abyss.
Altho, I wonder if the brother, Hao Nan, had some secret that was never revealed. Like if he knew about Hao Xun's hidden feelings. And if so, did he deliberately got close to Zhi Xia? I hope not, because that's even more sick. That means he deliberately told Hao Xun everything. He might have been the sickest and most psycho of all, but I guess we'd never know (unless there's parts of it skipped or the translation did not correctly state).
But I love how it's kind of open-ended yet, not-so-very. It's heartbreaking, really. But a great drama overall. Very original and engaging. Ma Xiao Yu was a darling and all the while I wanted to hug him because he looked like a lost boy, wanting love. So much of it to give, but not getting the same in return ☹️
Would I rewatch? Yes. Definitely worth it.
