well yes, the drama is quite overt in showing the ML’s personality and i completely understand why people enjoy being around him, it was just a rhetorical question really.
it’s just that,, what made it less convincing (and annoying) for me was how universally adored the ML became in such a short period of time, like the intensity of everyone’s attachment to him kinda felt unnatural bc theyve literally only known him for a relatively brief time. theres just barely any relationship development shown before they started speaking about him and reacting to him as though hes become the emotional center of their entire lives almost overnight.
like esp when the animation team left and the project probably getting cancelled, everyone was more devastated about ML not returning than about losing the work or about the other people involved?? ML is charming, but he isnt someone these people grew up with or worked alongside for decades or smth. in real life, even the most lovable, positive, energetic person usually doesnt inspire that level of collective grief and reverence so quickly.
i do not get the hype. mans isnt the “mysterious shy introverted guy who secretly likes her back,” no bitch he's just plain rude and a jealous manipulative obsessive guy who does not express his love for her and wouldnt hesitate to hurt her when he's jealous. bitch so fucking easy every single time (btw ily shen yue) like damn make him say sorry or kneel and beg and yearn first or sumn.
