If the pattern is the same with previous releases, we probably going to get Healing on Spotify/Apple Music this week…. and finally the legend ✨Rock & Star✨ and Once Upon a Time next week (((pray)))

I stopped counting around when Jim held Wen’s hand at the beach or when Jim accepted Wen’s chicken and kissed his cheek, as that implied that they both agreed to proceed to talking stage, no longer Wen’s one sidedly hitting on Jim 😂

The easiest way to identify the time gaps between each episodes is by the festivals they celebrated.
Episode 1 was during Chinese Mid-Autumn, mid-September. Episode 2, Halloween preparation, around October. Episode 3, Loy Krathong, end of November. Episode 4, Christmas preparation, early to mid December. Not so wide time gap starts from episode 5 to 6, as at the end of ep6 it was still New Year. Episode 7 should be around February since Li Ming invite Heart to watch movie together for Valentine. Also Jim said at the funeral he knows Wen for only 6 months, and their first encounter was on September. Episode 8 as written, took place 2 months after ep7.
As for the fight between Jim-Wen-Alan, Jim probably ghosted him for like 2 weeks until Wen visited his diner, supported by Li Ming asked him why he hadn’t been around lately. As for the overall time Wen hitting on Jim, total should be 4-5 months.
Sorry to hear your dissatisfaction about Li Ming and Heart's camera angle kiss, but this wasn't because they refuse…
Agree with kids around that age do kissing IRL! 😁 But I guess the rule(?) is set to protect children rights, as TV series can be consumed by everyone everywhere and indeed they are still minor by then.
Ep. 6: Jim & Wen: Round and round in circles we go. Boring. If I kept telling someone interested in me to stay…
Sorry to hear your dissatisfaction about Li Ming and Heart's camera angle kiss, but this wasn't because they refuse to do a real kiss. They were only 17 when they filmed this, and commonly in Thai series, actors do real kisses once they reached 18. The actors, Fourth and Gemini, casted here as their age closer to the characters they portray in Moonlight Chicken, thus able to bring the pureness and beautiful young love you mentioned in your previous comment. Fourth and Gemini worked together in another series too which filming was done when they already 18, and they did a beautiful soft pure real kiss scene there!
And please do continue watching! The rest of 2 episodes would answer your questions of why this happened and why that happened ♡
Okay, so I just rewatching (again, yes) and this time I noticed that Heart doesn’t like offal so Li Ming ordered a non offal chicken rice when both came to Jim’s truck diner to eat. But Wen gave him with offal ones and when he signed, “Eat up, it’s good” it was actually for the offal?? THEN LI MING ATE IT FOR HIM and Heart said thank you HHHHH IDK it’s just so mundane but so beautiful 😭😭
I wish it were a different director. I already love the show. But I think the directing is very New. With New…
Same feeling. Tried the 1st ep and it was pretty decent, but I still got this weird feeling. When his name shows at the end, I instantly went, “Aah, that’s why.” 😅
Can someone help - i think ep 5 or 6 preview had a scene - heart with work and play poster lying next to his bed..…
Tried to connecting some dots, I guess the timeline would be: - Li Ming told Heart about his desire to join the Work and Play program, gave him the flyer - Heart was sad of the thoughts Li Ming leaving him (showed in the series, ep4 part 4/4) - Heart tried to see it positive way and search a way to go together with Li Ming, thus he started to watch more videos about international programs specially for deaf community (showed in ep5 part 2/4) - Li Ming and Heart decided to go together after looking which university/program in America that would suit for Heart!
No scenes about those probably because the screentime, since it is a short drama with total only 8 episodes, but at some point I love the subtleness this series brought!
The scene of Heart told Li Ming to stay away came from the mock trailer, which not everything from it could be adapted when they started shooting for real. I think they decided to not use that once they settled with overall script and how the story should go.
Love at how Jim didn't reply with "no need" or "just keep it for yourself" to Li Ming when the boy said he gonna repay every pennies Jim spent for him. Jim just nodded and let the boy express how thankful he is to have him as his uncle ;-;♡
1) Li Ming said he wants to listen more of Heart’s voice. Heart saying his name. It was a nice shot, though…
LMAO yes. But tbh, she isn't that shitty now that she already acknowledged her mistakes and willing to try harder for her son. Plus, a year or two to teach Heart how to live on his own would benefit Li Ming too, as he can use that time to work more to fund himself for the trip.
I think the series has managed to present and develop Jim and Wen very well as people, but with them as a couple,…
I think it is very subtle, but at the same time, very clearly?
Like we all can see how Wen fell at the first sight that night, but he fall harder when he learnt more about Jim and how good he is towards others: to Leng, to his customers, to his surroundings. Jim falling for Wen I think simply because Wen made him a better person. Every choices he made since that night had Wen behind it.

1) Li Ming said he wants to listen more of Heart’s voice. Heart saying his name. It was a nice shot, though I personally think Heart doesn’t need to do that (but maybeeeeee it’s because he’s still a kid so pure so excited to do things that make others happy ;-;)
2) Heart’s mom agreed to send Heart to America that easy. Sounds more like an ideal perfect mom in a fiction, doesn’t look realistic at all? If I were her, although I am already okay with him going out here and there and me now able to communicate with him, America is just too far. I probably would be okay if we reached an agreement of him try a year or two first of going to a similar school/program in Thai before he can go that far.
3) Alan and Gaipa…… wrote my reason here last night, I think it is already enough for them to able to let go and moved on; no need to add more.
4) Sound/voice recording. Dear GMMTV, I am this close to invest on you so you can buy a more proper boom mic or whatever mics you use 😭
5) I forgot which scene but I knocked my hand to a very hard surface while watching and now it is so red and swollen 😭😭 I blame you, Moonlight Chicken!!!!
When the trailer was out, I already can feel Moonlight Chicken will be one of my top favorites this year. 8 of 8 episodes today, and it does. It really does.
I am glad I started this year with such a great series. 9.5/10! I love everything the team managed to squeeze in this short story: family, social and society, friendship, coming of age, insecurities, and more.
The missing 0.5 point is my personal dissatisfaction of small matters in the whole series that actually executed just fine, so even though I wish they weren’t there, it was still okay for me. Will put it under comment as it contains spoiler.

Dear time, please move faster! Another reason to survive 2023!!!!!
