I kinda want to see him play in a series together with Namtan and Tay. They all are comedical already in real life, would be super fun watching them in a rom-com. Or family (but comedy) drama!!
Am I the only one who doesn't want Gaipa and Alan to end up together?... I mean, I kinda expect it because they…
You’re not alone!!!!! Up to tonight’s episode, MLC looks more slice-of-life realistic mature gay series, but if they really push Alan and Gaipa agenda just because they are First and Khaotung, it’d be merely a BL fan service for me :”)
The best ending for them I guess would be them to find way to finally move on from Jim and Wen.
Even though the funeral scene is sad as hell, I am glad it helped Jim to be able to take a brave decision to close his diner. I somehow feel he’d been clinging to this business because he wanted to feel, to think that he deserve something that he and Beam used to own together? Wen definitely not the sole reason, but I believe him in Jim’s life make the current Jim able to let go of that burden and come to such decision.
Knowing Wen also helped Jim learn about another perspectives of how nowadays generation see same-sex relationships, which led him to had that beautiful conversation with Li Ming. Made me 100% sure Wen is the right person for him. They might be a mess before, but Wen understand things that Jim never did, and I love how instantly Wen helped Jim with the struggle he met while taking care his nephew—something that I think Gaipa never could (I’m sorry Gaipa 😭).
Gaipa might know Jim longer in-terms of time, but none of his previous experiences could help him understand the real struggle Jim and his family faced. He was loved by his mom, if Li Ming went to him to talk about his mom, probably Gaipa’s answer would be mom #1. Gaipa’s mom left him fortune, which maybe made him think helping Jim by paying his things would be good and his way to show that he cares. Same like what Alan did to Wen, he did with good intentions, but maybe.. that isn’t what the other party wants.
I also love all the lines they deliver in this episode. From the fear of taking care of your own kid compare to get an abortion (this scene tho! Helped Li Ming learnt that he isn’t the only one who face the problem, isn’t the only one who want to live their own life; so don’t run and refuse the talk, but face it), “people can accept whoever being a gay, but when it comes to their own family, they cannot”, to “I know I owe her gratitude, but that doesn’t mean I love her.”
Kudos to the team, they can make each episodes answer everything, like really every little thing people been questioning from previous eps. The brain behind this series deserves a standing ovation.
One episode left… so not ready to say goodbye to Jim, Wen, Heart, Li Ming, Leng, and everyone in Moonlight Chicken; I might want it 1-2 eps longer than 8, but so far what this series brings really beyond my expectations (which already high by seeing the trailer).
Midnight Series isn't actually on air on TV, only available on stream on Thai Disney+ with new eps coming every Wed and Thu 6PM, so none will take the timeslot after this. But (the rerun? of ) Midnight Motel currently is taking GMM25 Saturday slot and will end this week. Since no new series replacing it, I'm guessing next it'd be Dirty Laundry and Moonlight Chicken that will be taking Saturday timeslot.
As for Wed and Thu GMM25 slot, right now they currently have the rerun of PS I Hate You.
Just learnt that Hook lyrics is actually a compilation of lots of Thai love songs’ title. Adding the fact that Tinn asked his dad to ‘help’ him with writing the song, the history of how Hook was born sounds very in-character of Tinn 😂👍🏻
I heard First broke his hand during the filming of Moonlight Chicken, not sure about it though, but I think they…
But they’d still need a reason to make Alan had a hand cast after, no? They were staying at the town in some period for the shooting and they cannot just put it on hold while waiting for First’s hand to recover first before continue?
I think everyone needs to calm down about the clip from next week. It's an edited clip out of context. But as…
I heard First broke his hand during the filming of Moonlight Chicken, not sure about it though, but I think they added the drunk accident of Alan because of this since after the real accident, First was always seen with a hand cast.
As for he has no family to take care of him.. much probably because like Wen, he came from another city/province? And judging from him still wanting Wen to come to his relative’s event, his family probably think the couple hasn’t break up yet and there’s Wen taking care of him if anything happens anyway.
The way Jim always clearly rejects Gaipa, but never say 'no' nor declining Wen's statement of Jim liking him too. He basically implied what he want in a relationship if that's what Wen want them to be: not complicated one, without a burden from the past so let's just clean our mess up before we start. Remember when Jim joined Wen's dinner with his pa? Ain't that because he want a reason to not celebrating Loy Krathong with Gaipa? :")
Seeing the amount of people asking question why Heart doesn’t talk makes me wonder, did his parents also think the same?
Maybe, during those three years, they were like, “If you at least talk, I probably would bring you outside to meet our relatives. If you at least put more efforts in reading people’s lips, if you—“
Imagine Alan and Wen being a hetero couple with 2 children. Sorry dude, I felt out of love. Shit happens, lol.…
I guess the moral here is the courage to let go and how to communicate it well with your partner? This episode literally told us all the complicated mess happened was because they themselves and you’ll see you actually can finally start a new journey once you made a clear decision of it. Even with kids and you decided to separate, it could ended up okay if you talk about it clearly.
I don't really like the concept of this drama. You were in a relationship for so many years and you suddenly realized…
Wen said deep inside he also hoped for things working out again; he didn’t moved out because he wasn’t ready to let go. It isn’t ideal indeed, but somehow I like the rawness in this? This kind of relationship is natural, realistic, and very close to what we find near us; falling out love just happened and nothing wrong with that, but what made it toxic is they themselves who weren’t willing to let go.
I love at how the camera emphasizing Li Ming touching Heart right after he learnt from the pastor that skinship…
I also love at how easy, how freaking easy Wen’s head goes flop right away into the crook of Jim’s neck or shoulder like those places are specially made only for him (insert Uncle Jim’s deep sigh here).
I love at how the camera emphasizing Li Ming touching Heart right after he learnt from the pastor that skinship is important for the deaf.
I also love at how considerate Wen was when taking pics of the boys. He not only count by voice, but also with his fingers as he know Heart cannot hear him 😫🥺😭
I hate that episode 5 left me with no time to catch a breath even for just one second. It started with Wen and Alan’s story flashback, then end with Heart’s parents. I just can’t. I finished this episode minutes ago but my lungs haven’t functioned just yet.

Wed-Thu GMM25 slot (as in TV on air series time 20:30) actually already filled currently with the rerun of PS I Hate You.

The thought only already breaks my heart 💔
