A solid 7 Id say. It kept my attention, and the drama of it was nice. I love the two mother and father leads,…
I definitely agree! To me I felt like the FL was too quiet and didn't really do or act much until the very end of the episode. So, her character wasn't as interesting as the rest.
I have learnt a few Koreans as I have been watching K-dramas lately: dae! = yes; chor ha = Crown Prince; kam sar…
Yes it's so easy to pick up korean words when watching lots of shows, there's one I learned from penthouse season 1, princess in korean is pronounce the same and means the same in both chinese and vietnamese languages! I'm vietnamese so I was like, huh? did i just hear vietnamese?
Of course the plot isn't as good, but people including myself found love and beauty through the relationship of the characters, mother and daughter, family, family and inlaws, and then lovers. I think this show hits a lot more differently because it made me appreciate my life and other people more especially since I was mentally my lowest this semester. I'm glad this show aired before I did anything regretful with my life. I do wanna say the ending is 10/10. It's been awhile since I've watched a romance show that ending this beautiful.
I agree with you! The story felt so bad, and so confusing. The whole big epic scene of her exposing the SML and like nothing happened? No news break, no gossip, no drama, like it happened but then again it seemed like it didn't because all the news and netizens in that drama gossiped about more was about the ML and FL love life and illness? Like yah that's a big shocker but what about her exposing the supposed CEO or whatever of the company that used to be hers?
Like I get it, the SML has mommy issues, and that's the reason why he will do nothing but keep the FL by his side, but seriously, that's it. His love for the FL is the fear of being abandoned by someone he loves, first his mother, which he gave up to find affection for and now the FL and he won't give up all because of his mother. The mother is just irritating, yah she's smart but only because this rich family is seriously dumb which is the only reason why it lead them to a huge downfall, and leading the grandfather to sign his powers off to the women he thought she was "sane" and "capable" compared to his "useless" family he couldn't bear to trust anymore because they were just rich and dumb.
Kdramas used to make real good sad deaths of elders, and now they feel almost plain and useless because there's no emotion that leads up to that point to make the audience care about that character and his death. That says a lot because I'm a softie for elders and cry everytime when any elders pass in a show. But now it feel fake, dramatic, and emotionless (not because of the actor but bc of the character and story which lacks depth, and )
And like you said, honestly this entire casting is amazing, I loved the main leads chemistry, also loved the second leads (which I was surprised I ended up loving them), the families, etc. They did their part, and acted their heart out for a weak story.
Can someone explain the very last scene for me? I’m confused
Not too sure either since it's a big cliff hanger, but here's what I'm thinking. Gong won the battle against Wufeng's attack, however it doesn't mean that Wufeng entire organization is over. The mysterious person Yun sees back in her hometown is most likely the leader of Wufeng paying her a personal visit. How did she know Yun would visit that day? Maybe there's still spies in Gong to inform Wufeng's leader, or maybe it was a coincidence but if it was a coincidence it would lead to the question what purpose do the leader of Wufeng have with Yun's family. Additionally, with Yun actually having a family and a biological sister, I'm going to assume Wufeng will threaten her again for their safety meaning, as long as Wufeng's organization stands, her life/freedom, her family/loved ones safety, and Gong's clan will not be safe. I THINK.
