I think he has a strong accent. He was born in Inner Mongolia so his Mandarin may be not good enough. I don’t mind pp have dubbing. Actually the rest is not dubbing but they use live capture sound. Their voice was capture directly during filming.

This year, xianxia or cosume drama fill with sorrow and so much angst. I'm watching lotus casebook too, and quite enjoy it ( at least not too much headeache over the love story ). I also watch Lost you forever but I don't take it seriosly, knowing how much angst and tragic it is. I saw bunch of hilarious fan edit and comment to make it fun. :D

Actually we write their name in that way here so it seems like the same but in Chinese, the “Liu” part in Xiang Liu and Xiao Liu are not just write different but also pronounce different.
On the side note, for anyone is interested - their meaning :
Liu in "Xiǎo liù" means “ six ” while Liu in "Xiāng liǔ" means “ the willow “.

Don’t know if the author has any intention for it or not. For me it's contradictory, to think Xiang Liu who has such a “soft” name will be so cold outside, or it gives a hint that he has another soft side ? His name also sounds very sad 😞. Because the willow leaf always fall downward, like tears, it usually to associate with sad scenes and bad fate in literature.
Anyway ,everytime his hair blows, I can't stop to think how his name fits his appearence. Or may be I just think too much lol .

I mean the drama. Not all audience are novel reader, almost never read them, so I think it's normal for expecting 1st main character be the most popular. I just assume base on what the author said with all poster, trailer, promotion ...etc.. , since the drama focus on his character and his way to the throne later, even the title is related to him. For non novel reader like me, before the drama broadcast, I don't care about XL character at all. Let's me change it to unexpected for me to be clear. :D
